I just wanted to say I'm sorry, I sure didn't raise him to have that kind of attitude toward his elders. He's grounded off the computer now. Is there a way to change my password on here so that he can't get into it again?

um dances with unicorns, who pissed in your wheaties? YES I do have a son. YES, he's almost 12 years old and YES he's always been what the teachers call "gifted" and has been accelerated. He's 11 and in the seventh grade so what does that tell you? I was offering an apology for something my SON did.

Sure. Go to Yahoo, log into your mail account. Go to options. Go to Account Information. Change your password from there.

One password controls your mail, your IM, your Yahoo Answers, and access to most Yahoo stuff.

Now... never, ever leave your Yahoo logged in for him to get to it and keep your pword secret and difficult for him to figure out LOL...I don't think he was particularly offensive. Standard kid pranks...

There were three questions asked in a row at the same time, the one in question being in the middle. You only apologised for one, only mentioned one as being by your son ... so did you ask one, he hijacked your acccount and asked one, then you got right on a minute later and asked another? How did that work?

I am with dances with unicorns, not buying it. I believe you have a son, and that he is capable, but I also believe you would have pulled the question if you had truly been offended, because obviously you used your account during that time.

Willing to give benefit of the doubt ... but this is feeling, well ... contrived.

You should sign out of your account after each use. You should know that you are signed on until you sign out. Also, you might want to create a Windows computer account that's password protected.

The apology does you credit. But here's some food for thought: kids don't just dream up such things out of thin air. You need to find out where he learned this--and put a stop to it.

Since it is hooked in with your yahoo mail account, I would change your Yahoo password. Make sure you log out when you are not using it!!!

Your son has remarkable grammar for someone who's 14. And it's remarkable at how similar his phrasing and sentence structure are to yours. I'd expect a BIG difference between a 14-year-old and a 37-year-old.

Nice try, mom, but you blew it with your first question; you were incredibly rude. Do you even HAVE a kid? An opinion is fine; a liar is not. Grow up, and own up to your own mistakes, and don't pin them on an (imaginary?) ill-mannered offspring.

Your heated response to my initial comments tells me that I hit pretty close to the mark.
