Well, so far I'm far from it, but would like to know what it will be like somewhat whenever I reach there in a few decades.
What are all the things you love about this particuliar phase in your life?

I love the fact that I've learned to enjoy the day. I wake up in the morning and look out the window... If I'm still on the green side of the grass I enjoy the day.

I love that everyone tries to tell me what to do... But I can IGNORE them if I choose.

I love that I always have clues to whether I had enough to eat yesterday whether I remember what it was or not... Putt, putt, putt

Like someone above I love that I can enjoy my grandchildren, spoil the whatever out of them, and feed them all the highly sugared caffeine loaded food and beverage they want... Then tell my kids to take their kids home... Talk about revenge!!!

No crawling outa bed at 5:30am and fighting the commute.
Just to get to work and listen to a boss that's dumber than
you are and watching the little low-cut boob shaker getting
all the perks.
Eating what you want/going to bed when you want/spending
a week at the mall if you want/taking the bus or train to
undiscovered destinations. Having a boyfriend OR NOT.
Doing all the things you never had time for when raising kids.
Having lunch with the girls. What's not to like about retirement.?..
except maybe if its not enough money to live on!!!!

I'm age 60 and I haven't found anything I like, much less love about being a senior citizen although technically I might be a few years away. I do know it helps if you are in good health, are financially comfortable and have a sense of humor.

I don't have to worry about getting pregnant. I never need a sitter, I can take trips whenever I want, have the time to volunteer if I choose to, and I don't set the alarm clock for four in the morning.

And the absolute greatest part, I can love, spoil, and indulge my grandchildren, and then I get to send them home!!!

I like it that I'm no longer expected to give 110% to everything I do. I don't have to try so hard any more. And people let me get away with it because they think I'm too old to do better!
