Argh, tough one. On some things, then yes most definitely I would want to. There were many occasions that perhaps I could have said something different, not hit that person, not done something else, e.t.c.
BUT, the problem is I feel it was all those mistakes I made in the past, all those times I messed up in some way that partly make me who I am today, knowing what I know now. Knowing there are some things you just shouldn't do, some things that should have been done, etc. So while a lot of the mistakes were pretty bad, I feel they ultimately all help me understand myself, people and life in general a lot better having made those mistakes.

I think the only thing I would have done was to invest more.
Our pensions are sound and we have always been good savers and we invested for the kids so they are OK,but there is still a lot we want to do and places we haven't seen yet and that all takes money.
My Hubby is 64 and I'm 60 and we manage a pub so still work hard 7 days a week,it's a job we love and we can't decide if we want to retire next year when he is 65.
If we had more money to play with we wouldn't hesitate,we don't want retire when we are too old to enjoy it.

Nothing. I am who I am because of the hard knocks and the strife. The war. The rough life. The camaraderie of the military and the men who work at dangerous jobs after the military. The fact that I had to educate myself. The few people who had education that were willing to help me in that area without looking down. No, I wouldn't change anything.

Definately... I've grown older and wiser. My parents are dead, and I wish i'd been there more, especially for my mum. I had a 1st broken marriage, and although I had 3 lovely sons from it, I would never have married him in the first place. I could have had a decent career behind me. But it's too late to change all that unfortunately.

Tigger's reply, entirely echoes my sentiments. I am who I am because of what I have learned through my experiences. The purpose of the lesson of past experience, should then be, to make a better future, not by regretting the past, but by doing things differently in the present.

Worked harder at school rather than after school...would not have got married first time around so early....would have sown a few more wild oats....Life after 30 has been great, but yes some of the mistakes of my younger years would have been rectified.

Continued my education.
I have unintentionally restricted my opportunities in later life by making the decision to leave school too early.
