I live in minnesota and the city that I live in has a big Somali poppulation. I generally do not have problems with them, but I tend to get hit on a lot by Somali guys and it is starting to annoy the hell out of me because they just cannot walk by me without making sexual comments or gestures toward me. Some of them are older men in their 50's. Is there a reason that they act that way?

I have saw so many people talk about emo's, people that like rap, blacks, whites, mexicans, and yet they claim that they are not racist or prejudice. Why is it that so many people try to say they are not racist or prejudice, but yet they fit the profile?? Just curious

How come I keep reading posts where people say that Natives were wiped to extinction. Or even that they are nearly extinct. This is cultural ignorance. It is true that Native people make up a small percent of the population but that doesn't mean they are near extinction, in fact Native populations are rising.
Where do people learn this stuff?
Don't people know that by saying this they are spreading cultural ignorance?
Don't people know that by saying Native people are exting or are near extinction they are supporting oppression?
And shouldn't every citizen have to know about the first citizens of this country?

People at my high school just dislike me or even hate me. they hurl insults at me, as well as rumors. When I show that it has no effect on me, they get angry and say I think I'm all that. I think that people just are jealous of me. What do you think?

For those of us born in this country, and whose ancestors were "brought" here against their will, I will state that since we 'helped' BUILD America, that we are never suprised that this certain race of people continue to hate Black people....

Don't they know that the writing is on the wall...It is not Blacks that are or have ever been your problem.

Slavery was...and whose ancestors made it up that any one race was to dominate....

I rest my case, until later!

The commercial where the future father-in-law tells the guy to call him Jim. The son-in-law used to start singing "Jimmy cracked corn," but that part never plays on the commercial anymore. Did they take it out to shorten the commercial or because it may have seemed racist?

I know very little about my native merican ancestry however, my grandmother merely opened my eyes to a way of perceiving life. It had a profound influence on my world view. Over the years I have met many native americans living here in Australia or visitors from the USA. Some have been beautiful people living and talking in a way that reminded me of my grandmother. Others seemed to be very arogant and saw Australia as a good place to make money. Once I was asked to keep fire for a (won't mention her name) who was doing lodge for a group of young women. I heard her calling them white trash. I walked away from NACHA here in Australia because they would only allow not natives to join as full members some of these people worked tirelessly helping to get the association up and running. I became disillusioned. I have also been ashamed of being an Australian after a number of heartless responses to refugees and their involvement in the gulf war. Three years ago I developed severe anxiety

I like to be naked.
I like to be completely open, honest, and truthful. I have no secrets. Nudism is okay, but that's not what I mean when I say that I like to be naked. I mean that I am completely open about everything. I have NO secrets at all.
Ask me anything and I'll tell you. I am completely honest and never hide anything from anyone.

Just something I was pondering. I know in the past racism was caused by superiority complexes and all that. That may still be the case today but I believe that more than anything, stereotypes spread racist views. Does anyone agree?

a while back they're were people protesting gay marriage and they're argument was that if two guys married they were going against all of human tradition. which is a bunch of bull. so if you want to follow that logic we should still be sacrificing virgins at volcanoes. but anyway. there practically saying being strait is a tradition.

what do you think.

never complain about discrimination and wil admit that people make thier own destiny

then the hispanics or blacks on welfare ,very poor, or in prison will tell you they are basically still living in slave times

which opinion would you trust more

and how come asians rarley if ever complain about discrimination

isn't caliing discrimination all the time just using an easy scapegoat,,WHITE PEOPLE, becuase nobosy will ever challenge it

whenever a hispanic or balck loses a job in a white heavy workplace for a poor job like a waitress,,,,,9 out of 10 of the times the race card is pulled,,,,I know becuase I used to manage a diner

Are humans REALLY intelligent? We speak, do math, build things, ETC. Machines do the same thing. The ability to do those things is no proof of intelligence.

We aren't as perfect as we think. We suffer more diseases than any other species, we're the only speicies to wage war on eachother based on greed or race, the list goes on and on.

Just thought I'd rattle some cages.
