My whole family says: "Cats belong with cats, dogs belong with dogs, black people belong with black people, white people belong with white people" But, Im totally against it. In fact there is a kid name Ke'Shawn that I like a lot and he's black, and I'm white. What do I do?

Date him. If he is respectful and likes you, date him. Your family is RACIST and SEPARATISTS. There is nothing wrong with you dating a Black person. I'm so sick of "parents" pushing their racist, supremacy views on their children. We already have enough media bashing on minorities, we don't need parents doing it. Glad my entire family is not like that. In fact, my mom encourages my brother and I to date outside of our race and to not limit ourselves. Which I do. ;)

cats and dogs are different species... people are people. if you examine a caucasian person's organs against an african american/black person's organs, you can't tell the difference.
you can also say "don't judge a book by its cover"
i believe that your family is afraid of other races/ethnicities because they do not have enough information about them. you can't just make generalizations about a person because of skin color and such.
you can also ask your parents' heritage... like being irish, polish, english, german, etc.
just do what you want.

Make up your own mind. Your parents will always be your parents and they will try to raise you in the best way they can, but they are, just like everybody else, flawed people. No one is perfect and therefore no one can give you the perfect advice. Just follow what is in your heart and try to do the best that you can.

Be prepare to fight against your family, if you decide to go out with him. I think that they are not racist they just have preferences that they want you to carry.

Its good that you can see beyond your familys narrow mindedness. If you like him, its for a reason, go for it....if your family loves you (and Im sure they do) they wont try to stand in the way of you liking who you want to like.
