The commercial where the future father-in-law tells the guy to call him Jim. The son-in-law used to start singing "Jimmy cracked corn," but that part never plays on the commercial anymore. Did they take it out to shorten the commercial or because it may have seemed racist?

they just shortened it - that commercial played the longer version you are talking about for months, if it was because of something racist the entire commercial would have been removed.

I am almost positive that they took it out to cut the time of the commercial. It really is expensive for TV time. I know they have done this with other commercials. And I don't really see how that is so racist.

I have noticed that after a few days most commercials are shortened. I always assumed it was to save money.

This commercial is quite funny. Yes, I think they cut it for the obvious reason.

Sometimes there are two parts of commericals, a short one and a long one. that's probably it.
