I have to do a paper for my Canadian studies class. The paper's pretty straightforward, compare an aspect of life or something between Canada and the US. I'm interested in people, so I'm thinking maybe comparing minority relations, or immigration or treatment of native americans/first nations? It can even be more detailed that that, are there any immigrant or minority groups that have histories in both countries? I really just want a lot of ideas so I can write the best paper I can.

it was founded on religius freedom which wasnt granted for a while...................then it was industrius, new indiustries booming in the 19th century......then came the rush west.....then came the settling of the west.......then ww1.....then depression.......then ww2.......surburbia, etc.........then hippies, etc etc.....now it seems there are no new horizons....even the internet has been picked clean....with millions competing in the same industry....we cant farm..........we cant create our own businesses hardly.....so are we going back to the industrial revolution where the vast majority were forced to work in the factories owned by the rich? and will there be health regs? whats your view of the next 20 yeaqrs? please, i want to hear all ideas

I mean this honestly, why are people so mean? I have a lot of friends and stuff, but all thse guys in my class are being so mean! They call me fat and chub chubs, and crater face. I'm NOT fat! (if you think I am then say :-) ) I weigh 115 pounds, and am 5-4! I dont think I'm ugly either, I have big blue eyes and a ski slope nose with pink lips. So why are people so mean? I understand about people being mean and stuff, but kicking me, and calling me fat is mean! What should I do? Or could you tell me why people are so mean?

No one is denying the Holocaust, but all of our ancestors have suffered in wars. The armenians have been slaughtered by Turks,
the , the Bosnians by the Serbs, the chinese by the Japanese, the Japanese by the Americans, The Arabs by Israelis,
the Red Indians by the Americans and the list goes on... Every country has suffered in the past.
This does not grant them the right to invade another country.

black americans can be any skin color.(very dark to very light), Black americans can have any any hair texture. Black can have any eye color. Blacks can be a mixture of many groups and still be considered black. But to be white seems more cut and dry.
you can't look black and call yourself white. what is this all about.

Would you help a woman or a girl who is being abused by her boyfriend or husband in public? Like hurting her and verbally abusing her? Or you would just ignore it?

I wish there were more guys who would step up when something like this happens, but I doubt it.

Who feels that racial profiling & bigotry in 2007 is a myth? Who thinks black americans complain for absolutely no reason at all but the catch is you have to answer how you came to your assumption. I need to hear this from the mouth of honest, white americans. If you use THAT word you will be removed.
