It is my hope that the right man or woman wins based on what they stand for, not for something as shallow as their race or sex.

How many of us are willing to cast a ballot supporting skin color or sex over political stances?

*Please think before you answer, and be totally honest with yourself as to who you are voting for and why.

If Obama or Hillary change their stances dramatically on the issues that are most important to me, I would definitely consider voting for either one of them. As it stands now, I wouldn't based on their ideas. I have no doubt that those are my honest feelings.

I plan on voting on the politicians 'stance' on things, especially on the things that mean the 'most' to me ... and I don't really 'care' whether a candidate is 'black' or a 'woman' but I actually mignt choose to vote for a 'white man' first, and a 'black man' second over a woman if the race was for 'The President of the United States' ... although I'm trying to 'work on that' prejudice before the election.

I think voting for those reasons is pretty shallow and stupid. I find it shameful in this country that being a potential "first" (first female/black President) is reason enough for some people to vote for a certain candidate.

If you vote for either Hilary or Obama, I STRONGLY suggest you go over in your minds whether you really feel they'll do a good job, because if they screw up too much, there's going to be a LOT of racial/gender strife.

No one's going to actually admit to doing that. People do that more often than you think yet unconsciously.

I'm gonna vote on the best man/woman for the job regardless of political party, race, gender...etc.

People are going to vote most likely according to which party they are aligned with. I doubt people will cross party lines just to vote for a woman, or vote for a black man. If they are so inclined to vote Democratic, they will anyway, same for Republican. If people like a candidate, they usually just do, not because they are a novelty because for most people, thats actually a reason not to vote for them.

ATM all I know is I'm not voting Republican, but I would not vote for someone based on their skin color or gender.

Hopefully, anyone who would do that will forget to vote. I vote on party and principle.
