Tulsa in 1921 was full of black professionals. Doctors, store owners & businessmen. After the riots about 300 lost their lives and the town was never rebuilt nor the people compensated.

.It started over a black man being accused of sexually attacking a white woman. Whether or not it was true was not proved. That was an ugly time in Oklahoma's history.

A black boy bumped into a white female lift operator. News got out. It was shown to not be an attack. Rumours spread. Indignant whites ran to the court house to lynch the uppity negra, blacks came to protect...whites burned the Black Wallstreet to the ground killing 300 or so.
