I had a Japanese female friend, who did some fun things with me. One day she invited me to dinner over her house, and her parents was also invited but she never told me. I arrived at her place a little eraly and I helped her set up and prepare her dinner. After I sat in the living room and her parents arrive and she introduce us. After that introduction in which her father refused to shake my hands, we went and sat down. Not a minute passed by her father stood up with an angry look on his face and said"I will not eat with this F*****g and the infamous N - word) well I Got up and left. Why didn't my friend stood up and say something, she never called me and I did not call her either. IS this a Japanese custom, not the prejudice part because that I think is in everyone. I mean is it a custom that a father can sat things like that to someone they never met? are Japanese women that docile that they can tell their father to get out? IS it also a Japanese custom to make Western remarks????

First, let me start by saying that I am a member of a minority group. I won't say which one so that it won't cloud the issue. Also I feel I should disclose that I am not homosexual, but have a few friends that are.

Although it's not universal by any means, there seems to be a predisposition in the black community towards dislike/hate of and/or discriminatory practices towards people who are gay. Many of these same people have themselves been the victims of unwarranted acts of hate and discrimination. My thought is "Are you kidding me? How can you experience racism and discrimination, realize how awful and unfair it is, and then go and inflict the same kind of distress on someone else?"

Is it just me or is this ridiculous? In my mind, this is the essence of hypocrisy. Is there something I'm missing here?

The question I have is: Why are some men unable to find a girfriend, is it becuase I live in Boston or is it because the type of women I am looking for is well not here. I always read there are women who is looking for the perfect man, how can I be perfect when I'm just a man. Is there such a perfect man. Ladies please tell me, why is perfect the only thing you seek. How about a man who is willing to work everyday, help out around the house, don't mind cooking, educated, but is not perfect. Can this man be perfect if he doesn't have the look, height, and the physique.? A man no matter what he looks like should be able to find a woman who will love him for him, but I find there a lot of women who present "I need a perfect man" attitude but find herself falling for a man who uses her, take advantage of her kindness but yet she is willing to deal with him no matter what. I may not be perfect but at least I am willing to treat a woman with respect and kindness. I look for the same.

I am a muslim living in Johannesburg,South Africa. I have found that non muslim relationships that i hve been in are much better than the muslim guys i know. No offence to the muslim guys but i guess i have not found the one yet.

I & my uncle have nothing wrong with me having a relationship with a non muslim guy or maybe even marrying one but the thing is that my dad is on the conservative side of life & may not be to happy with it.

Am i just been weird or overthinking this. I have been questioned alot about when i am gonna get married & so fourth.

I just wanted to know different people & different opinions on what people think & comment.

Thanks

I was watching an American TV show and a girl said something that sounded like, "he is so A-Word!"
What does that mean?

I hope I'm wrong but the younger generation seems to have no bounderies at all with what they find unacceptable. Whether it is behavior or humor. I would like to hear from one young person who still sets limits between good/evil, right/wrong, etc.
This Yahoo (question/answer) link below is a prime example:

Just curious. . . I don't remember this many gangsta caucasians growing up... wondering if it is the water or something.

Part 2 question: Black men who date said gangsta white lady, how do you handle when she slips up and calls u " Mah ******"?

This should be very interesting.

For the riots everybody blames to party leaders which may be 5% true but every body neglect the fact and the fact is the castism in our society. I think if we establish only one religion i.e. INDIAN which will be compulsory to all the citizen that will definately strengthen the intigrity of our nation.

Couple guys I met at my hotel work (in Washington, DC area) who said they're from around Miami mentioned that when they saw me in socks and sandals. Something about Miamians believing in bare feet. I'm not sure about everyone else but I know it's a common trend among Asians.

Okay, let me just say: I'm NOT racist. I just wanted to ask what you guys think about the term "African American". Because there are other places that call "black" people that, and they aren't African AMERICANS, they're African Europeans, or Asians, or whatever else. There are also "white" people who come from Africa, what do we call them? I just wonder what the politically correct term for "white" people is? -Americans? That seems wrong.
Okay tell me what you think, even if you don't agree, and I'm sorry if I've offended anyone.
-Thanks!
