Is it still possible for a child to have a certain innocence in their upbringing or is the bombardment of images of war,famine, terrorism, global warming etc. causing higher levels of anxiety and depression in our young?

The whole stint about Michael Richards is ridiculous. I don't like the fact that white people continue to bring up the fact the black rappers use this word all the time. Yes I am black and no I don't sit around all day and use the word ****** or ***** to refer to my friends. That still does not give white crackers a reason to use that word in such a way as that Jew *** did, if you saw the video he used it to belittle them.White people are the cause for the destruction of the world, you;ve used that word and still do to degrade a whole race of people who you felt were inferior. The problem with white crackers is you can't relate to blacks so there for you hated us then and you hate us now. do Asians have any true friends? it seems like no other country or continent really like us for who we are. not many people notice us either, and if they do, they think we're all Chinese. especially the Blacks always calling us that just because of our eyes. the Whites are just racist, and the Spanish they don't like the Asians (is what i've heard).

seems like everyone is against the Asians because we look weird to you, our eyes are small (some countries in Asia), we speak another language that you people find funny, or is it that we're crazy geniuses?

what do you think? and tell me what country you are from too, and what your parents or someone in your family thinks when they view an Asian person.

a question was asked a long time ago about religion and where it came from. As it is my opinion that it was created by greed I feel like I have the rite to say that. I also believe that everybody has the right to say there opinions weather I agree with them or not is up to me. I recently came across a book titled: "The Manly Eunuch: Masculinity, Gender Ambiguity, and Christian Ideology in Late Antiquity" by Mathew Keufler. I have only read excerpts from this book, but it brought to my attention the historical and religious importance of Eunuchs, also called "Holy Tranvestites". Apparently the removal of a man's testicals helped to rid men of immoral behavior and make them closer to God. Did this practice threaten Roman notions of masculinity, and therefore indirectly contribute to the rise of Patriarchy?

Also, before Patriarchy, Matriarchy must have been the rule of the day. Can anyone enlighten me on accepted gender roles within Matriarchal societies?

know that white is not a true race and neither is black. There are different types of races within the color white, and the same goes with the color black. White and Black that not races, they are just colors within races. Explain to me why that is always misunderstood.Answer if you like and if you don't, do not. are so prejudice against the americans. I mean really! I've heard a lot of bad talk on these boards lately, and it's stupid. Once I was even out on the streets of london and I heard a man making fun of america, so I asked him if he had ever even been there. He blushed rather heavily and said no. We shouldn't judge our opinions on Americans just because we see one or two rude ones. I travel there a lot, and I find them to be very polite. Now I'm not saying I hate britians. Hell, I'm one of them, and I am very patriotic, so I don't think it represents us very well when I see about 50 boards a day posted by people in the UK saying North America sucks. Anyone agree?

1. I have never seen a Mexican in a corner begging for money, they rather wash dishes or mow a yard than to beg like I've seen many Americans do.

Good ive got your attention. Why is the european culture questioned at every turn, we seem to be bending over backwards to accomadate non european peoples, their language, religion, culture and putting our own young down by coming out with affirmitaive action schemes in housing, education, jobs, health and every other area subsidising foreigners who create ghettoes shutting us out of our own towns and citys. Well if we remain this stupid and anally retentive in a generation or two we will be a minority in our own land and who can blame the next generation when they have decided enough is enough and put all these infidels out of the country by force. And i will applaud them as they do it as this generation should be taken outside and shot for throwing away their birth right.

Anyone else have this problem? I find it really funny, because I've heard that Americans don't think they have accents, but their is no country that doesn't. Actually, I would consider Americans as having one of the thicker accents. I've visited all over the country, and I really do love it, so please don't take any offense to this. It's just that everywhere I go I find it hard to understand all of their different dialects. I have to ask them to repeat themselves, and even though they are very polite about it, I feel bad that I have to make them keep repeating. Anyone have any advice?

i see this sometimes in the job section in the paper.if they said white men only, all hell would break loose and the minorities would try to sue that company.there are some good jobs ive seen but when i see women and minorities encouraged to apply, i figure i shouldnt even waste my time.also i took the test for the united states post office and past it, plus im a veteran and get extra points.but i know people that work at the post office and they tell me know they are now only hiring women and minorities.thats sad that just because im white they wont hire me.its been almost 2 years since ive taken the test and havent heard anything.

I always have trouble when I go across the pond. I love America, and it is a beautiful place to visit, but their accents can drive me batty. I feel bad, because I have to keep asking them to repeat themselves. Sometimes I'll hear a group of them having a conversation, and I'll just laugh to myself, because I don't see how they can possibly understand what the other is saying. Anyone else have this trouble? If so, what do you try to do about it, I mean I don;t want to be rude, and flat out say " I don't understand a damn word your saying"

I just been in Chicago for 6 months in college as a part of an exchange program, and i had no problem to speak and mingle with white people, and i couldn't figure why hispanic people living there are so afraid just to go to downtown, i mean it's not all of 'em but i think it's close to 85% to 90%.
