As a member of the held to a different standard "white" race I can't help but think enough is enough! Yes let's burn the conferate flag and replace it with a picture of a black fist saying by any means necessary. Or maybe by the colors of the African flag. As long as it only offends "white America" it is acceptable. That is why we continue to allow black Americans to poke fun of white Americans (because we owe it to the race). But let us forget the remarks of Jesse Jackson concerning Jews. And God forbid we remember the Rev. Sharpton adventure concerning Tawana Brawley. Oh thats right all is forgiven unless you are white and use the "N" word. I only hope that some day people start to apply the same forgiveness to "white" American as we have other races! I for one am getting a little tired of hearing about the what he should do to repent and those poor people who heard the statements made. Just a thought from a "redneck cracker" as my race is often refered too.

Most of us are often ignored cause of some of our problems and when the rest of us request to get where we want to be in life it is restricted from certain environments that's not right for all.
The refuse of such individual's rights cannot be tolerated if turned away cause of differences in their lifes where ever they live.

It is important to have equal rights as you and I do for the needs of one to improve the lifes and health of so many others and not to be taken away from all that positive energy.

When another keeps holding back against someone's will in places where they should be getting better and back on track with their lifes shouldn't the Government be helping to reverse the negative impact of unstable health to full form.

Too many don't get the things they need in life cause of their staff and some others involved away from it and are sent in where the Sun doesn't shine. This should not effect their strategy rights.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1940's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a tin, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with brightly coloured lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking ..

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a van - loose - was always great fun.

We drank water from the garden hosepipe and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cakes, white bread and real butter and drank pop with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because...... WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the
problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no text messaging, no personal
computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and looked for and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.

We played with worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not poke out any eyes.

We rode our bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or we just yelled for them!

Local sports teams had "tryouts" and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.

Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them!

CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our own good.

...and while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave their parents were

Most of my family came in the 1970s and none of my family was here in slavery or killed indians. I dont care. I was born in anti white discrimination. I dont give a damn about your "history". All I know is you all are allowed to get away with murder and we are not allowed any pride and told we are bland blank and useless by the media.

This is regarding how American culture has us thinking that the European way of beauty is the way it should be if we are to be attractive to any man. It really hurts to see Black women damaging their hair by chemical relaxers or hot pressing combs or dying their hair blond. I think as Black women we need to embrace our natural beauty (kinky hair, broad noses, round butts, etc..). We cannot help the way God made us. I am a Black woman myself and everyday I wear my hair in 2 french braids and my hair is chemical free and I'm loving it.

I am not trying to anger anyone, but I was just curious on what your views are on this?

Sooner than you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And remember that you are older longer than you are younger.

I think the majority of people who keep racism alive today are those who constantly preach about the subject in the first place. For example, the Reverend Jesse Jackson. He always turns every situation that involves an African American into someone being racist. However I never can see the racism within any of the situations. Therefore, because he brought racism to the situation for no reason by mentioning it he is keeping it alive. Opinions....?

Holy crap, another laptop in this frozen wonderland, this is better than the boxes of popcycles I found!!!! I hope Yahoo gets this after I press send. I'm racing across the interior of Antartica using a team of penguins harnessed to my sled. No matter how many of the little beggars I hook up to this thing I don't seem to move along any faster ( Some race! I hope I get back in time to hook up with my ride to North America, these iceburg transportation companies can be really fussy. ) than a penguins brisk walk and on occasions they just lay down on the ice like they're swimming!!!! I need to motivate the little guys but not with anything cruel; after all they are helping me out and I do like them; any humane suggestions?

Do racial insults always hurt?
If I call myself an "ofay" or "honkey" or a "cracker," is that okay, or am I demeaning myself and others?
Are racial insults or slurs ever acceptable?

Okay, my answer to this brain buster is this.. To have channel called BET and the main purpose of this channel is so that African Americans can have a channel devoted to them, is racist. Now before you stop reading because I said what you don't like, think of this.. If there was a WET channel, how would you feel?? I mean, if you weren't on this subject, and passed by the channel, how would you feel? A lot of people would feel that the makers of such a channel were racist. CMT. that was brought up a couple of times, I don't know if you know it, but NOT ALL WHITE PEOPLE LIKE COUNTRY. In fact, a lot don't, such as myself. And "white people have all the other stations" HA, I will leave that one at that. Ignorance, no, the feeling is justified==> When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans (most of you remember that), the CEO, Debra L. Lee, made the statement: "Once I heard that there were so many African American homes destroyed, I wanted to help" ....

They say "from violence comes violence", but where does that even come from? Does that somehow mean if one side stops fighting the other side would as well? If an entire group just refused to fight, would the parties fighting that group cease?

For example, does that mean nobody would ever attack the Amish?
