I don't consider Cohen's humor to be "cheap". I consider Jay Leno's humor to be cheap in its banality and overall safety. Cohen's art is in his ability to stay in character and push his live audience. I find Cohen's humor challenging, which us why I enjoy it so.
As a fan, I don't see Ali G or his characters as prejudiced, so much as vehicles to get his foils to show theirs.

No. It's not representative of Kazakhstan. They have a different way of life to the West (although they are rapidly developing), but nothing like what Borat portrays.
I don't have a problem with the film. I don't find Borat especially funny but I think comedy, within reasonable limits, shouldn't fall foul of the politically correct police.

No, Borat does NOT accurately portray Kazakhstan or any of the stereotypes he plays in his movie.
IMO, Sascha Cohen is NOT funny, and just enforces stereotypes through his sick little "movie". He doesn't deserve an award, he deserves to be shut down.

Oh, no - keep in mind that Cohen is something like Tom Green or the American Blue Collar "humor" - cheap, stupid, sleazy, chauvinist and condescending (to wit, notice how his fan considers the movie "Hilarius" with a capital H). He has no respect for people and their feelings and would do anything for a little cash, so he probably never even looked up any info on those countries, just exploited nationalist stereotypes.

Borat is the dumbest movie I've ever seen... even Jackass had a better storyline for a comedy.

I think the character in the movie is just made up for the American audience to laugh at(a foreigner).
