I need some sites that talk about cowboy myths, like how they've been portrayed in film and media, and how it's different from how they really were. I can't just use random facts because I need a works cited page and all that crap, so I need sites. Does anybody know of any? i get alone with eveyone can u help me? i went too a high school that was all black i did great!!! i went to a all white college tiffin in ohio i was not taking very well my basketball skills did'nt matter my skills was nothing to them. its sad i was and still a great player in my time period. W e all need to put our color or differant back round to the side to acheive the best . look past the color and family back rounf and even what they beleive in. they goal id to win as many games as possible right?

I wish the blacks would not feel that way. Although they were taken from their native countries, would any of them choose to go back? I love black people and wish nothing less than for them to prosper in this country. They have the opportunity to seek that out in this country what many new immigrants are still comng to this country for. I just dont understand. I read peoples comments on here about the United States and I just cannot believe it.. Peopels perceptions of America are so warped and misguided that Im begining to think people are just saying these things to be mean. The IGNORANCE of some of the statements is just insane. Here are some examples..

- America has the worst colleges and universities on earth...
- Americans are fat and lazy...
-All Americans are poor and steal from other countries to sustain their lavish life styles.
-George Bush was behind 9/11..
-America has the worst military and every other army on earth laughs at America's
-America is the most racist country on earth
-etc etc etc etc etc .....


Of course..everything I just listed is a COMPLETE LIE...But statments like these are so pervasive on this website that...well...i dont even know....
Can someone explain to me why all these people spread these lies and gross exageration on the net to one another.

I really dont care about how people say blacks arent the only ones tha got it bad...because we have it WORSE.
While i was on a computer friend site,
a muslim boy told me "shutup you little black girl".
First imnt a lil girl, And yah im black, but ur muslim soo....watever...who cares! we are all diffrent. But i gaurrantee if i told him "shutup cr*cka" or "shutup terrorist" or "shut up lil mexican" it would be a HUGE issue.
Can some one help me figure out the reason why whitter skinned people are aloud to make fun of blacks???

My girlfriend who is doing her masters in sociology told me this fact and she asked me why it is. With America changing so much in terms of demographics, is what we're seeing on TV a good representation of what North America and the world is? I find it hard to watch TV lately because it's the same drawn out stories about pretty much nothing. With so many people in the world from different backgrounds, aren't there some amazing stories out there?

What this means is that you can't say "Muslims go Home" or , "Muslims, go back to your country". If you want people to go, you have to be specific and say which people.

For example, if you say "Catholics, go home" a lot of people wont go anywhere because they are already at home. Same with Budhism(Richard Gere) and same with Muslims ( Yusuf, formally Cat Stevens). Among many others.

And Scientology(Tom Cruise). Etc Etc.
So do you get the point or not?

Okay, my answer to this brain bust is this.. To have channel called BET and the main purpose of this channel is so that African Americans can have a channel devoted to them, is racist. Now before you stop reading because I said what you don't like, think of this.. If there was a WET channel, how would you feel?? I mean, if you weren't on this subject, and passed by the channel, how would you feel? A lot of people would feel that the makers of such a channel were racist. CMT. that was brought up a couple of times, I don't know if you know it, but NOT ALL WHITE PEOPLE LIKE COUNTRY. In fact, a lot don't, such as myself. And "white people have all the other stations" HA, I will leave that one at that. Ignorance, no, the feeling is justified==> When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans (most of you remember that), the CEO, Debra L. Lee, made the statement: "Once I heard that there were so many African American homes destroyed, I wanted to help"
