I do love my skin, it is not white WHITE LIKE A GHOST but kind of oil WHITE , do not get burned easily, it takes a great tan, I do not have a single wrinkle on my body, NONE ,ZERO, I am 34. Your skin is pretty too I ASSUME. But you cannot generalize not all white skin or not all black skin are nice, it is not about the color it is about how well you treat your skin and your genetics as well. I love my skin and blessed with it. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONCERN THOUGH. :)

I think I might see what your question is, but if you don't want to sound racist, you may want to be a little more civil about your wording, perhaps "Do people with lighter skin have to take care of it more, and does this bother them?"
1. I think you can tell peoples ages respectively among skin types just as easily as the next.
2. The thickness of skin rarely has drawbacks
3. Sun burns are probably the most common and most noticed drawback by people with light skin. That is true that lighter skin will obviously burn faster and people in that situation do tend to complain about it. (I'm white, but hardly ever burn, however)
4. That's true also that people with lighter skin are more prone to the adverse effects of ultraviolet radiation that causes melanoma, or skin cancer. Honestly, I've never really thought of it being a drawback or risk, personally.
It is clear that this question sparks a ton of angry remarks due to it's nature in dealing with skin color (which is obviously taboo). The majority of remarks from those with lighter skin is to look at the societal drawbacks as well as the physical. I hope we can extinguish the animosity that divides people.

well...I'm not white....I'm a soft beige. I have never seen solid white or black skin? Have you?
My skin...I was always told that it was like peaches and cream.
And ... who doesn't love peaches and cream?
As for people who have very fair skin...they can sunburn easily, and tend to have problems with wrinkling, and well, skin cancer..that's just a horrible thing to have. I'm sure no one would feel very good about having it...so, for some people it is best to cover yourself when out in the sun, and try to have the least exposure to it.

Well, given that I had no say in the color of my skin, it really doesn't bother me. There is a lot that can be done to keep skin from aging so quickly. Staying out of the sun, not smoking, limiting drinking, etc. On my list of things I concerned about, my skin (or its color) is not something I worry about.

Actually, your correct on all counts and its not fun! I worry about my skin alot because of Vitiligo (I'm losing my skin color). So I do agree with you. Over 3/4th's of my face cannot tan, so if I go outside I burn. This makes it easier to get skin cancer.

ok...first of all....that is a very racist question...
second of all....i would not say that all that is true.....yes we tan better, and get skin cancer ***NOT SUN CANCER YOU IDIOT*** alot more often than those of other colors but there is a good reason for that as well.....
we stay outside in the sun more often than others to get a TAN....black people stay out of the sun cuz they are afraid they will get BLACKER....don't make any sense to me if you think that your skins is better than ours
also...we're not lazy...we go in the sun...you lounge around inside in the air conditioner rather than going swimming (most don't even know how to swim) or even doing any real yard work
THAT IS MY OPINION

Ah, but black people's skin doesn't let in enough vitamin D in higher lattitudes.
Plus people with black skin get shot by police and end up in jail more often than people with white skin. They also earn less money on average and score lower on standardized tests than people with white skin.
I'm not a racist, these are facts and I just want to know how you feel about it.

Sorry, but the skin I have is the skin I have. I can't change it, so I love it. This skin you have is the skin you have, and I don't hold it against you. You make the best of what you are given and don't cry about what others have.

First, I do not have the 'worst' skin.
Second, I do not wish to spend my days in manual labor in the sun.
Third, I am often complimented by people saying that I look 7 years younger than my actual age.
