I can only speak on those I have known enough to learn their thoughts on the subject...maybe a couple hunred in 50+years... and from the comments I have heard them make I would say 80% or better have expressed racist thoughts against one race or an other... Chinese and other asians particularly... from the tv shows originating there I would say that a majority have some racist tendancy... about normal for any other "race" as well.... there is not a "race" on this earth that is not "racist" to one degree or another...

YES. But, please, let me explain. The Japanese are not racist in the Western idea of racism. That is, its not about Black, White, Yellow, Red, etc. No, the Japanese are not worried only about that, that is small potatoes.
The Japanese are prejudiced inside their own society. That is, they have a Caste system. People who work with animal slaughter are the lowest, fishermen and poultry and meat workers especially, then other classes of lower businessmen. So, its not just that Japanese are taught to "be racist, its deeper than that, they are actually taught that people in their own society, OTHER JAPANESE are better or worse than them," depending on who they are, or what class they were born into.
So, being a racist would be nothing for someone who already believes that another person who LOOKS LIKE THEM is not as good as them.

Mmm, it's probably bad to categorize an entire country of people like this. I hope you see the irony.
I'm sure some Japanese are racist, but I know they are not all racist.

Well.. Everyone in this world is racist against SOMEONE.
That's just human nature.
It doesn't matter if you're Japanese, Hispanic, Chinese, Korean, or anything.
Some people out there just need to grow up, and stop hating other people JUST because of their race.
Seriously.

I do not know that Japanese are racist, but from what I understand they are proud of who they are and think of themselves as superior. I guess that you could say they they are culturally and racially self-confident. We should all be that way, as long as we value those who are different.

Aren't we all? If we were honest with ourselves, we all have a bit of prejudice; it is human nature. However, that does not mean it is OK to slander, abuse,or even think that we are better than another race, for that matter, any other human being. God created ALL of us.
