I enjoy being an American, but I enjoyed it much better living here 25+ years ago. Back then people were more helpful then they are today. Back in the 1960's I could hitch hike from the east coast to the west coast on just a few dollars in my pocket and make it all the way in 4-5 days. There's noway that would happen today. I'm glad that we have the law that we have...cause it is to protect and not take away, but what I don't like about people in power is the miss-use of power...which I feel there's a lot of that goes on. I also feel the if the people in power breaks the law the penalty should be stiffer on them since they are our role models. I also like visiting different counties as well and understand different cultures cause it makes me appreciate the things that I have got or want to have. I like most of all is that I have the freedom of religion that many cultures don't have. If I want to be Muslim, Baptist, Methodist, Mormon, Jehovah Witness or just not go to church I can...I have that freedom to still choose.
