Holy crap, another laptop in this frozen wonderland, this is better than the boxes of popcycles I found!!!! I hope Yahoo gets this after I press send. I'm racing across the interior of Antartica using a team of penguins harnessed to my sled. No matter how many of the little beggars I hook up to this thing I don't seem to move along any faster ( Some race! I hope I get back in time to hook up with my ride to North America, these iceburg transportation companies can be really fussy. ) than a penguins brisk walk and on occasions they just lay down on the ice like they're swimming!!!! I need to motivate the little guys but not with anything cruel; after all they are helping me out and I do like them; any humane suggestions?

I'm surprised you haven't thought of the obvious answer [you being the worlds foremost expert ]hire a team of Canadian killer land trout to drive them in the way cowboys drove cattle
an extra bonus to this solution is they can also protect you from the psycho snowman that roam that area at this time of year

Tie a stick on the lead penguin's head that has a fish tied on it dangling from a string so that it looks to the penguin like there is a fish just a foot ahead of it. Then the penguin will keep running to try to get to the fish and the rest will follow.

Canned Tuna always works, well it did for my uncle, last time my uncle had to race around Antarctica he came across the same problem. the clever bugger hung a few cans of tuna and warned the Penguins that they too were gonna end up stuffed in cans unless they moved faster......

Penguin? I thought you had a team of basset hounds. Perhaps the penquins are faster than the hounds. I am surprised they are slow. I heard penguins have happy feet and thought they moved quite swiftly. Good Luck....I like the land trout suggestion.

Get a long pole and dangle their favorite fish in front of them sort of like a carrot on a stick for a donkey. You'll be amazed at how fast they waddle. just make sure you stop occcassionally, to let them some of the fish. this worked for me and it'll work for you

give 'em a hockey stick and tell 'em to skate. if they're like the penguins they have in pittsburgh, you'll get going in no time.
