Nothings wrong with it, hun. I'm emo too, and I also believe in Christ. It's cool, even though everyone thinks I'm a loser, I like it and it's good enough for me!

I am a Christian and a goth, so, yes, it is indeed possible to be both. However, your grip on 'emo' subculture seems..tentative at best, and I would strongly suggest looking it up on Wikipedia. Also, MCR, AFI, FOB, Dashboard Confessional and the like are not 'emo' or 'goth'. It's alternative, screamo, and, you will not like hearing this, very trendy and commercial. I urge you to listen to The Cure, Warren Zevon, Elvis Costello, The Cocteau Twins, Qntal, and Bjork sometime.

People have labeled emo and goth. Pretty much, if you're emo, you hate life, you want to kill yourself and talk about it but you never will, etc etc... But gosh, emo and Christianity don't seem to mix.. But whatever. If you're emo, then be prepared to be criticized. That's just what you are. What the world has labeled you.
"You're not a true emo. Goths hate emos, and visa-versa"
Very true.. Goths think that emos are fakes. They hate them.

Your music sucks.
I feel the same way about those gangsta types.
If I get to know an emo and that particular emo is cool, I won't shun them because they're emo, but I don't go seeking relationships (frienship or otherwise) with emos, because its a lot easier to hang out with people who like the same music as me, because we tend to have a lot of other things in common as well.
Does that make sense? I'm under the influence.

I'm goth and I think most of us non-emos just find emo strange. No, I'm not trying to offend anyone. That's just how most of us feel about it. I think the main thing is that what we hear about emo the most is wrist-cutting. (Do you really do this!???) That sounds dangerous and senseless to me.

Nothing, really. I'm an emo kid myself (though my hair is still brown...for now ;D ).
What I hate is when people don't want to talk to me just because I'm emo. It's pretty much a form of being prejudice.
They also ask highly unintelligable questions and make stupid remarks like "Oh, you probably want to kill yourself, don't you?" and "You're probably just emo for attention."
Everybody's SO into stereotypes these days...even if just about 90% of the emo kids don't even cut themselves, they just automatically think we do because we're emo.
People really need to clean up their act and accept us for our personality instead.

Nothing but it's the rules. You are supposed to put down the other groups/types to make yours superior, it's like cheering for the home team.
