Just looks like capitalism to me...whats wrong with what our country is all about? Whoever came up with walmart was smart...they are huge!! Yes they take over businesses around them...CAPITALISM. Is that so horrible. Democrates HATE walmart. i hear it all the time. They started up the business chain, just like everybody else...they know how to run a business, thats all.

This is not singled out to only white people. I have seen many white, hispanic, black, and other non-chinese or japanese people with chinese characters tattooed on them. Usually its a single character, or a few characters that makes no sense in either chinese or japanese. I for one, think its really silly.

What does everyone think about it?

Well I was reading my Texas History book and it said that,but when I showed my aunt what it said she went crazy and she was pissed because she said that my Texas History book was lying. My real question is,even if Mexicans use to run Texas,what was the effensive problem tword my aunt?

today in p.e we were playing soccer or atleast some oof us were and the guys would only pass it to their friends on the team or one other"popular" girl who was really bad at soccer and out of like two 10 minuet games the guys only passed the ball three times to me!!! isnit that rediculous!!!

I never realized how much predudice some people have toward others. When I was a kid there was alot toward black people. But is that gone now? I read alot of questions & answers on yahoo & I've never seen any hatred toward blacks only Christian & gays. I hope its gone & I hope all racism will go away. My 12 year old tells me that I am very wrong & that racism toward blacks still exists, he sees it in school. I don't hate ANYONE so I wouldn't know. Is he right?

I was born in Spain but during rough times me and my family went to live into the United States for a better future. I have been living here for 15 years now and I have experienced alot of racism. Everything has gone worst for me, Im looked apon different because of where i am from. People do not understand what I have gone through. I never stop hearing of all these people that want us to go back. Should I just go back and leave the country I work hard and learn in?

Myths:

1) Only old folks live in Florida. (Not true. Many many young folks live here and many are moving here and raising families similar to the situation in California decades ago. This place is lively! Although my parents do live across the other side of the state from me in a retirement city.)

2) Nothing exists in Florida except for beaches and Disney. (Not true. Once you start to hang out where the locals hangout, you find that Florida has an old deep rooted culture.)

3) Our politics are messed up completely. (Actually this one is true! Carl Hiaasen is right! Our growth is largely unmanaged down here and along with that comes alot of crazy crazy people hanging out and running for office. Kind of like the wild west of the east. Unregulated.)

Florida residents, can you think of any more myths? Please share.
