hiya another day,another bore,

braveheart is my fav film, even thou its was not based on the truth, well apart from when we kicked there *** at bannockburn that was true lol.

my experience with the english have all been about the banter(good nature slagging) thoses braveheart days are in the past, and in the past they must remain, i think the english hate us more than we hate them they try to undermine us they say they dont need scotland and if we want our freedom we should get it because we would struggle as a country on our own, but that is far from the truth they need scotland just as much as we need them(we do have all the oil i think they forget that lol) i personal think they are jealous of scotland because we are a proud nation and have a identity around the world(kilts, whiskey, haggis, hills, scenery, famous loch's) what do they have errrrrrrr motorways, now and days alot of the rivalry stems down to football(soccer) they think there so good at it they are so big headed but we scots know the truth about that and we love winding them up about it they are rubbish
i could go on all day about this but in general they get on with each other there is only a minority who want to kill each other

but saying all that if it was back in the braveheart days i would be in the front line with my sword lol and kilt flashing my bits(oops did i just say that lol)

I'm from Dundee and I have to say I think the English people are really nice and friendly. Of course you get some bad apples from England from time to time, just like you get some bad apples from Scotland from time to time.

In terms of the national football teams, England won the world cup in 1966. Scotland have never got out of the group stages yet :-(

So hearing 66 all the time is somewhat of a pain in the neck

However Celtic won the champions league in 67 and was the first British team to do so, one year before Man Utd won it.

The thing that annoys us is the english media, the way they say Scottish football is a joke but the second Celtic win in Europe it's "British football" and no longer Scottish football.

It's like they will slag you and praise there teams but are your best mate whe you win and there team lose.

The english media is a bit two faced in that respect bacause when English teams play, "British football" can't be found, it's English football.

But on the whole, I get on with English people, I doubt there are many people who are still angry about a war that happened over 1000 years ago and those who do hate the English for the wars where not even born... there great great grandad was not born when those wars where on.

There are some people who vote SNP, to get Scotland independent again but they are really rich chavs more than anything lol

"Scotland hates English, pure mental, vote for me or I'll kick yer head in"

read between the lines and that what they say lol

hope that helped :-)

I think you will find that most English people like the Scottish people and visa versa . we have stood together in many wars and a lot of English follow Scottish teams IE Rangers and celtic and i know Scots lads that follow Chelsea and man utd and Liverpool ... the only rivalry is just good banter but not hated

Wow, another good reason to go against each other! Till now I've seen Christians v/Muslims, Atheists v/Religious, English v/Americans, Straights v/Gay..... that's new! Well done, this world does really need more reasons for hatred.....

Nay, forget braveheart. He was Christian, and that was not the Scottish people's native religion.

Rob Roy Now there is the hero!

The English hate us, and that alcoholic, anti-semitic goon Mel Gibson did us no favours.
