i know that some LGBT people out their flaunt it for attention...(only the minority)
but haven't some people realised why some do this???
it's because of years of supression and keeping people happy they get sick of 'acting' straight and just think F it!

OK here we go... I have yet to come out to my family as transgender (FTM) and have been trying so hard to figure out all the ways... for A very long time... anyway- when I was driving with my mom the other day she said to me... "you just have to be yourself, whatever that is and if that's a man, then you have to be that and fess up about it" I just blew it off and yelled at her by saying, "do YOU REALLY have to talk about this now?" Nothing more was said. I feel really bad that I didn't respond to her. She's tried to out me before when I was a teenager (15+yrs ago) and I blew it off then too. NOW I'm ready and I blow her off again... what do I do now? I was thinking an email saying, "you're right mom, I am transgender and I'm going to do something about it, thanks for the support"

What do you all think?

I was bullied all the way through school and when I went to work and I was miserable for a long time just because of people like you. I was gay and it was obvious. I was beaten, spat at, shouted at, whipped with metal bars all of this beacause I was gay! I thank your little supporters that did this to me because it made me grow up to be strong and proud of myself and it taught me who to trust and how having decent and tolerent people in my life would enrich it so much. I am no longer the small boy being beaten and abused, I am now the strong one and all I can do now is look down on you and and your supporters with pity and disgust!!! Enjoy your empty shallow lives as outsiders and social scum!

So my older brother (He's 17, I'm 15) always has his friends over. They are always grabbing my waist, hugging me, etc. (Nothing over the edge, because if it did go over the edge I would've done something about it) And it really bothers me. I don't like any of them, but I just feel like they are being mean (I'm gay, so another guy touching me is kind of unbearable, they do it so...sexually [if you know what I mean]) My brother lately has constantly been calling me a f** and I don't really care at all, since I'm better than that. I don't know if his friends are just teasing me, because I haven't openly told anyone that I was gay. I'm really not sure if my brother knows that I'm gay or if he's just being a jerk and has no idea I am. Oh-- and my brother never touches me at all, it's only his friends. Can anyone relate or understand how I'm feeling at all? Thanks.

I asked this question in the sociology section in regards to homosexuality. I am personally intrigued/bewildered by the number of people who rationalize that homosexuality is wrong because of procreation. I know so many couples that are unable to have children and they are happily married. Also, there are over 6 billion people on this planet and I find it hard to believe that if this number continues to increase that it would help sustain humanity. Anyway here is the link.

Ideally, how would you prefer your girlfriend to be physically, i.e. looks, fashion, hair etc?

I have a sister that is going through a child custody thing with her ex, I told her she might be able to find someone on yahoo answers that can help her out. Her ex is a gay man that uses gay rights to manipulate the court. Well, she asked the question on here and as soon as she mentioned that her ex is gay, everyone was defensive about it, gays and straight people. Well, I am not against gay people and I am not a gay basher, but, I do not believe it should be represented in court, I don't have anything against gays and they can be just as good parents as straight people and they can be just as bad as any straight person also. I know this particular man is not a good person or parent, not because he's gay, its just his whole attitude. I don't think gay people should get special treatment, just because they are gay, being gay is not a handicap, it is a chosen way of life and they should be treated like everyone else. Is gay such a sensitive topic that they should get everything?

I have a cousin who just "came out of the closet", but everyone in the family knew allready, it was so obvious. We are all supportive, and will always be there her. I personally have no problem with her homosexuality except that now every single thing (cars, shirts, flags to name a few) now has some sort of rainbow/gay pride thing on it and it drives me nuts. We were driving and some punks started yelling and harassing us because they seen the huge gay pride sticker in the back of her window. I am totally against any forms of discrimination and harassment but, why do a lot of homosexual people feel like they need to advertise what sexual affiliation they have? Why advertise something like that when you know there's some real crazies out there who see that sort of stuff and just look for reasons to do stupid stuff? Is there a straight pride movement? What would that symbol be?

I've been with my girlfriend for three months now, and we have been sleeping in the same bed almost every night. But so far we still haven't had real "sex" yet. The farest we've got was just topless with panties on, we would kiss aggressively for hours everynight but neither of us would make the first move to go all the way. I think there is this game going on between us right now to see who would make the first move, but neither of us would give in. It's driving me crazy because I have been kissing her for over 100 hours now and it's extremely hard for me to keep on resisting. How Can I Take It to The Next Level?

I don't want the ignorance and bigotry to rub off on me. I usually use triple tainbo sudz dish detergent but my local grocer is all out at the moment.

(to be fair I know this is a generalization but it is all in fun)

was very open around me. She would be nude all the time. She would invite me to watch her play with herself. Even wanted me to watch her doing it with girls and guys. Also wanted to compare our boobs in front of a mirror. This was kinda wild but very odd to me. Anybody know why she was always acting like that??? She says it was 4 my education but its just odd to me. Thank you so much!!

My sister is one of the kindest, funnest, most helpful people you will ever meet, and until recently I have had very few problems with her.
Unfortunately the other day I realised that in actual fact she's also pretty racist and more than a little homophobic.
I have no idea how to deal with this situation. I love my sister, but the fact that she's like that is really making me rethink what kind of person she is.
Any suggestions?

I support LGBT relationships and marriage. Equality is a strong force in my mind, and this is not an exception.

I'm a Christian too. ZOMGZ! :P (Just a little satire...)

Any other straight people, that think gay people deserve equal rights? I know I am not the only one. ;)

I'm a lesbian myself, and I broke up with my girlfriend a few months ago. I met a new girl recently, but so far I think we're nothing to each other but "sex partners". We would get together every few days or so and spend the night together. We wouldn't talk to each other about things in life, all we do was kiss aggressively in bed for hours until our lips are swollen, and then we would fall in sleep. The next morning we go separate ways again. I think there must something wrong with this......
