i know that some LGBT people out their flaunt it for attention...(only the minority)
but haven't some people realised why some do this???
it's because of years of supression and keeping people happy they get sick of 'acting' straight and just think F it!

We tried being discreet and secretive for thousands of years. It didn't work. We were teased, bullied, murdered, arrested, put in pschiatric wards, and for what? For being naturally attracted to the same sex. We aren't coming out to flaunt ourselves or gain attention. We are just letting society know that we're human beings and deserve the same dignity and respect that all human beings deserve.

wearing the necklace you describe does not be considered flaunting your sexuality. in case you coupled wearing it with strolling as much as truthfully everyone you observed asserting "look at my necklace, I"m gay!", that should be flaunting. because it quite is, you're in simple terms wearing a touch bit jewellery that has substantial intending to you. protecting in thoughts to boot that there are people who're clueless as to what gay symbols quite recommend so there could be some who will in simple terms see it as a cool or incredibly necklace. placed it this sort, you wearing the necklace is quite no distinctive than a activities fan wearing his/her admired communities jersey or ball cap.

I think it's to find a partner with the same gender as the person. Homosexuals can't just hit on anyone because there's only a minority of homosexuals. The majority of people are heterosexuals. If a homosexual acts straight, then other homosexuals won't know that s/he's homosexual. They may think s/he's heterosexual and they won't try to hit on him/her.

Why is is "flaunting" when a gay person acts gay or kisses another person of the same sex or talks about a same-sex partner or mentions the word "gay"? But it's not "flaunting" when a heterosexual acts heterosexual or kisses a person of the opposite sex or talks about his/her opposite-sex partner or mentions the word straight?

Sparkles....rising up and confronting the hard issues of the gay community. By the way, I think your pride parades do more harm then good with their partially naked people prancing around, sexually explicit language printed on everything, ugly men dressed as uglier woman... i think that all falls under flaunting...and it ain't good. Instead of constantly wearing your sexual orientation on your sleeve just live your lives as human beings, not gay human beings.

I completely agree with Michael B. They can do it ,but we can't. I also agree it is caused by not acting like yourself for years. It just starts eating you from the inside.

Heya, Sparks! *smooch*

That's kinda my mentality too - I think that some are soooo repressed that they come BLASTING out of the closet, chiffon flying and ribbons twirling. :)

Is this a question?

I think it's seeking attention. This is the same reason why gays have a compulsion to tell everyone that they're gay.
