Education? Like Chinese re-education camps? Wow, that sounds so scary, as education camps are a euphemism for forced labor camps.

I think the best thin is to ignore them. The world is too big and there's too many people to be bogged down by a few racist.

Actually, I understand where you are coming from with this question. Though I have found that hate is a very strong word, and I tend to use the word dislike. I am not prejudiced about anything, I think that I am a well adjusted gay man that believe that most people that I come into contact with, I either distrust or not care for. So I am perfectly comfortable being alone and am at my happiest when I am alone.

Hatred is not a natural attribute of any human being; it develops from ignorance.

The best solution to ignorance is education.

believe it or not the best way to get over disliking, or even hating, people is to do nice things for them.
I should know I was not always a very nice janitor. In fact back in the day I was quite proud of how much of an ****** I was

I agree with Diane: education.

But of course education doesn't only mean learning stuff from books or teachers in school. And it SURE doesn't mean cramming your opinions down another person's throat.

In my life, the best educator has always been a loving heart. More than one homophobe has gotten to know me, realized that all gay men weren't like ... whatever his babtiss preacher told him they were all like ... and got rid of the homophobia. That happened because I cared about him/her and didn't give up on them no matter how hateful they were to me.

Try to educate them.

However, some people have learned their hatreds too well and refuse to let them go.
At that point, it is best to let them stew in their own bigotry, in their small, prejudice-filled world by themselves.

Go to church. Several. Go to Missions too. There you can best relieve your hate. You don't have to get involved (and perhaps its better that way) just sit there and feel your emotions.
