They feel more comfortable around their own gender. They may have problems relating to the opposite sex, or may have been abused as a child.
People are motivated by pleasure and pain. Sex is very pleasurable.

because the ignorance and prejudice toward gays is finally losing it's place in society.
remember, one does not become a gay,
one discovers they are gay.

Nobody knows. We haven't found one solid case that prove that it has 1 cause. It's not genetic since one twin can be gay, while the other is straight.
