Why do some gay men, on TV and off, act that same certain way? and talk in that same really camp-ish voice? What does being a man, who's sexually attracted to the same sex, have to do with the way you act or talk?
Another thing, Why do people assume gay men are automatically the best friends, dressers, hair dressers, etc? What does sexual orientation have to do with those things?
I hear it so often, manys females I know have said to me in the past "Every girl needs a gay best friend!", "always take a gay guy shopping with you!" and "Oh, My hairdresser is gay so I know he'll do a great job".
I find it irratating, and the gay men I do know all act and talk really camp, or put "like" and "OMG" before everything like life has suddenly turned into an episode of friends, why though?
Just to get a few things straight (pun not intended!), I want to make it clear that I'm not homophobic or against gay, lesbian or bisexual people. I'm simply asking because i'm curious.
