I found that tape of the off-duty officer beating-up that 5'4 130lb female disgusting and what angers me even more is a man of equal stature to the perpetrator did nothing!

Do most men in the Gay world feel they no longer have Chivalrous qualities, it seems to have dis-appeared with many straight men who believe Feminisim killed it..

Your thoughts?

Oh yaeah . femnism killed chivalry years ago, i remember reading the reports in the paper about femnists slapping the faces of men who opened doors for them. men got sick of the man bashing and decided that if women want to be " independent" they can lift their own furniture, open their own doors and raise their own kids.

What's worse is that no one even called 911 until about 30mins AFTER the attack!
To top that, someone actually attempted to PAY OFF the bartender (the woman who was beaten) so she wouldn't testify against the cop...WHO BTW: had previous DUI record BEFORE being hired by the Chicago Police Department!
(Being a Chicago Native myself, I'm appalled at this video and the lack of intervention!)

Well first the guy was a 400 pound cop. Anybody who stepped in and tried to physically stop him would have been killed. The video I saw had no audio so you could not hear if anybody was saying anything to him. Second, you can never predict how you are going to react in a crisis. I have known people I thought brave and strong, but when the time came they froze. I have frozen at times and I was a cop in my former life. So don't berate them too much. Until you are there your self it is hard to guess what you would do.

Well im answering for my friend here, who is a male, and he says that if he witnessed a woman being beat up or even verbally abused by a guy, he would interfere immediately. And he's gay. He has done it before for me when i was almost assaulted by an extremely drunk man at a grocery store. It shouldnt have anything to do with sexuality, but more to do with common sense & chivalry.

I thought the same thing... I don't care if he was a 400 lb. cop, MY husband would have jumped right in without a moments hesitation! Heck, I probably would've, too!! The guy could have AT LEAST grabbed something and knocked him out!!
