I bought them at a jewelry store for .99 ea. I remember a ladybug on one. It was the same time as the siamese twin jewelry was out too. Bracelets that were made of silver and rings, the background was greyish blue.

I remember my Dad leaving the 4 of us in the Brown Woody Rambler, when he went to visit our Mother at the hospital. We lived in the country but she had us at a city hospital. I remember looking up about 5 or 6 stories- at her waving hand.
We did this twice.

Do you know how to communicate with your State Representative and your State Senator (names, mailing addresses or online addies) to register your preference on today's issues?

I want my Congressional rep to truly represent my vote in some very strong feelings I have about today's issues.
Have you ever written your Congress Reps? I'm going to start and wondered about any of you.

My son & his family took me out to eat tonight (and asked that I not drool on the menu) LoL (I'M KIDDING !!!) ...and the waitress told me I was funny. (hopefully , she didn't mean weird) I couldn't make any jokes after that..because she had brought attention to my "funniness" and I didn't want to overdo it. But...it made me feel good that she said that. I told my family, " I TOLD YOU I WAS FUNNY !!!" lol Anyway, it made me feel good that I had "achieved my goal". (esp. after that bummer joke I told last night!) I'M .BAAAAAK !!! I STILL GOT IT !!!

Although I've done the best I can in formulating my avatar to reflect what I look like I couldn't get half gray, half black hair and no 'aging' features...lol - short of uploading a real pic of me.

But I've often wondered whether our avatars 'affect' folk who read our postings.

If it's 'far out there' do they take us seriously?
Does our choice of headress, hairstyle etc. do the same?

Have you ever wondered?

I don't know if this applies to girls too, but- I'm a girl and I LOVE the idea of people mistaking me for a boy. I love wearing guy jeans and shirts that don't show my chest and I pretty much only own sports bras. I've been wondering this for a long time now and I just assumed I am. And if I'm not, I have no clue what my problem is then. Oh yeah, I love being athletic! :D Although that probably has little to do with it. Haha.

Sadly our society teaches no values & morals whatsoever & has made it hard for parents to disipline their children the right way. I blame alot of that on today's parent(not all mind you) who seem to care more about wanting to work or caring about their own pleasures than about their own children. It's disgusting when i walk down the streets & see how 11 yr old girls are dressed when they go to school. I mean my god! parents allow their kids to go out looking as if they belong in a street corner instead of going to school? Kids be swearing & cursing in public. Kids as young as 10 are in the streets as late as 3am. Who else can u blame for that than the irresponsibilty of today's parent? Schools have also failed our kids & now allow the students instead of the teachers run the classroom. Society teaches us that it's ok for kids to get condoms in School but yet wrong to talk about values & morals & teaching them right from wrong.

I am aways surprised when they don't know about Thumbelina, Tom Thumb, The Princess and the Pea, Puss n Boots, etc. They aren't even familiar with Mother Goose poems. What happened? To me they are classics that should not be lost.

Grimms Fairy Tales, Esophs Fabels, Han Christian Anderson...
