If you grew up during that time or if you did what would you have wanted to be? A hippie or a flag waving patriot? I was to young during that time but passed what we called the Hippie house in the small town I grew up in. And they seemed to be having a blast all the time.

The reason I ask is because I grew up around the Pacific Ocean. I spent time in and on it. Never was I hit with a bout of sea-sickness.

I came East and took a trip on the North Atlantic on a long distance ferry and honestly thought I was going to die.

I could not figure it out. From appearances, the Pacific is the rougher of the two. So why did the warmer, calmer Atlantic lay me low? I don't know...but I've never gone out on another long boat ride since I've been here.

I just heard the loudest bang ever with a light flash. It scared me so that I had to make sure I wasn't hit with whatever it was. I wanted to call the police because I thought it was a gun shot, and if it was that means they stay rite across the hall and if there is a murder of some sort going on I didn't want to be involved. this seems really selfish coming from a social worker but I am so scard and i just tripping or was that really a gun shot.. im so serious.....but i seem to be the only one who notice anything cuz when i keep looking out the peep hole no1 is moving about or ne thing.

aight here goes. everyday when i take the cuty bus their's this group of prep kids and across them is a police officer (don't ask me why he's riding the bus) Everyday those group of kids start making racial remarks like calling my hispanic friends the s-word and calling ma black friends the n-word. the police only laughs. i seriously wanted to beat them up but the cops was there. what the hell am i supposed to do. i can't just let it happen and forget about it.

Ok I have a question, I am confused on whether or not I am a lesbian or not.
I have this crush on my friend who happens to be a guy, I cry over him, I miss him, i need him. But then I have this girl who is also my friend and when she hugs me or when she rests her head on my shoulders its like.. i really enjoy it! So I don't know anymore. I don't know if its because I've never been with a guy or a girl before, so I don't know why I am feeling this way. Shouldn't I just be attracted to guys? When I check guys out at school I feel like I don't like girls, but then I see a hot girl walk in and I start to get confused. What is going on? is this normal?

I had a talk with one of my sisters tonight about how times have changed and older people aren't always so wise. (Sometimes I don't find my mother wise, we still clash at my age), my sister is about 35 and I'm 23, turning 24 in a few days.

And we were talking about how people aren't taught manners these days (I once took an ettiquette class with mostly teenagers and most of them hated it, but I felt at home), and aren't taught they have to be nice. Or how youth is more prized than aged bodies or wisdom, except in my town, lol.

What do you think, will Generation Y have wisdom in their older years?

i've had many bad experiences with white people like them callin me sp*c to ma face. making fun of me because i'm latina and an immigrant. and now i can't even deal with white people anymore. Ever since that incedent i promised myself that i would never date a white man or have a close relationship with no white woman. What's wrong with me? why can't i just get over those things?

Why is it that every time they call white people the devil, they then reply that every other races can be called that too since they've done the same? I don't get it. I mean, I don't remember us killing millions of people, Lynching, Brainwashing, massacring, using children for poison test, plus several other things for decades. We didn't start racism. Someone's color skin was never considered till White people came. And even today they still represent they greater threat to mankind itself. Do you know that close to a million of people have been dead since the war in iraq started and for what cause? Nothing. They said they wanted to protect them from saddam, but i got to say what a way to do that. I love by the way how they're brainwashing everyone that The muslims are the evil ones. They keep portraying them in movies as only terrorist. I mean turn on your Tv they probably playing something like that or just wait till the Movie The kingdom come out in theaters and you will see.

What are your thoughts (serious answers please)
FYI, we have been in and out of this type of relationship for quite a while now and it has really allowed the two of us to be so much closer, open & honest with each other. Many people (not knowing our personal life) ask all the time how we keep it so good for so many years. (Married for 19yrs now) It's not for all people but if you can allow yourself to be honest with yourself....the rest comes naturally. Not to metion the bex intimate life you could imagine!

this is more aimed toward asian lesbians...how hard was it to accept that you were gay/lesbian? if you've come out to your parents, how hard was it? did your parents accept it/you?

if you're like me, my parents are extremely homophobic. i think it's due to the fact that they are ignorant and haven't really been exposed enough. but i'm worried about coming out and how they'll react and treat me.
