if someone would post how to do this i would be happy to do so as the whole situation makes me sick
even if it didn't do any good, at least we would have tried
i still don't understand what anybody was hurting
now isotope says she is leaving because of the goings on
how many more will go?
i notice that goldwing and McTealc have been pretty quiet

Most of Yahoo is automated & key words raise red flags as do certain avatars that have been reported. So even if your Q or A is very nice it still can get taken off within a certain time frame. I agree that certain other areas are horrid, especially the religious ones, & that is where Y should really be watching but that is not the case.
So to get action for the Seniors section we need to go to a higher power, in mass, to get anything done. Like a news media, AARP, FCC. etc. It takes a lot of time & energy to do this & folks have to do it TOGETHER! How many on this site are willing? Not many, to be honest, & for various good reasons.
Another way is to spread our good will & kind thoughts though the rest of the sites. Being courteous with our words & ignoring rash comments. In other words: setting examples.
Again, how many are willing to do this for they would surely be setting themselves up for a ton of rude comments & false violations.
Before you jump on this bandwagon think it through REAL carefully.

This website is so huge, and Yahoo doesn't have time to go sifting through every question and answer to figure out who is naughty and nice. I think we have to live with the fact that it is an inperfect system, and if something unfair happens to us, start over again.
That being said, I just saw a question posted saying "have you ever saved a cat from a dog while you were masterbating in a churchyard?" I think that pretty much says it all about what kind of people were actually dealing with online.

I like the way the site looks now. I also went to the area where you read about violations etc and under eyes protest I added one of my own. I did not see anyone else post there. But it would help if everyone took the time to research and go to the site and make a short nice comment about sneiors and or trolls. It couldn't hurt.

I agree with the above poster. If I thought that it would make a difference, I would add my support. Unfortunately, they don't really care.
I saw a post from a certain lovely member of this site who had asked a question about being Scottish. I later found out that the question was removed. I posted a question about being German and I am still receiving new answers days later. It was a test. I think it's best to keep your Q&A's private.

I don't know why...but they sent me something the other day. I don't know if it was about my answer on R&S getting a thumbs down..and taken off..then put back on. They sent me this "form" where I could make suggestions. I made a suggestion that they separate the R&S into 5 catagories...Christians, Athiest, Spiritualists, Other Religions, Paranormal I told them that Seniors won't even go to R&S because of the "war" going on over there, So....lets see if anything changes. I was glad for the chance to say something about it. I don't know of anything going on in the Senior catagory...are there trolls? Is that who "reported" me for a question? (about "I can't sleep" etc.) I noticed someone else wrote almost the same question this week and didn't get Zonked..so WHY ME'?? I just assumed somebody on Seniors didn't like me. What did you mean...happening to "eyes"? I didn't understand that.PS.....O..."eyes" is one of the names on an Avatar...Right?

Yahoo doesn't care what we think.
And no amount of protests will change that.
I'm living proof they don't care.
I once answered a question that asked what our favorite color is and I said 'green' and got reported for it.
Someone actually reported me and when I e-mailed Yahoo about it I got absolutely no response what so ever.
Trolls will go to your account and go through every question you've answered and report all of your answers and cause your account to get suspended.
So I don't take this seriously anymore I just try to do my best and help people as much as I can.
If I get suspended I'll just make a new account and start all over again.
It's no big deal just do your best and if you really want to avoid the trolls then make your answers private so they can't report everything you've ever written.
But as for Yahoo don't look to them for help because you're not going to get it.
By the way did you know the definition of troll is 'demon'?
I think troll is a fitting name to call them.
