What is racism? I think it’s simply an economically driven phenomenon. If the other races present are in number, enough to influence the economy of that country, intolerance (read it racism) is bound to be there.

Yeah. What do you guys think? My brother said that as the generations go by, the people get a little smarter, but a little shorter at the same time. I looked into this by looking at the people around my school.

The current people in my grade are just a little shorter than that of the people that were in my grade last year in my school. And I believe that one time before I've heard the principal say that my grade had the highest average GPA than last year's.

It's not much evidence since it's only a small portion of people I mention. What do you guys think?

Could it be true that as the generations go by, people become shorter and smarter?

i think i'm gay. and i loved someone last year. we started out as friends but i admitted to him that i was gay about 2 months after i knew him and i liked him even though he didnt show any feelings for me. after that, he started avoiding me and doing things that would hurt me(example, saying foul words to me.). that was the start of our rollercoaster relationship as friends(?). sometimes he's kind to me(example: he was kinda flirting with me...) but most of the time he avoided me.

now, he's already far from me but we study in the same college. at times i see him and he pays attention to me by greeting me. should i think of a way to reconcile with him or just forget him and start all over again???

by the way i miss him...and i think he's the perfect guy for me...i think i can't find another one like him. he's the only person that i liked. if i'll start all over again, would i find another man that i would like??? what do you think???

he's STRAIGHT and i can't get over him...:(

I read today about results of a study with Catholic priests, nuns and brothers starting at age 75. They did lots of tests over the years and determined that self-disciplined, conscientious people were the least likely to develop Alzheimer's disease. (You would think in that group of people they all should have been self-disciplined and conscientious! Did they slip in a few Wild & Crazy Guys?)

I'm wondering now about my odds of developing Alzheimer's. Self-disciplined I'm not. I'm dependable but that's not the same as conscientious.

Also, the people I've known who had the disease had all led very conservative lives. They had all been very responsible workers, parents, church goers, etc, but developed Alzheimer's in their late 70's or early 80's.

What are your thoughts on this subject?

How can they say that Hitler was an atheist when he has gone on the record making these statements:

"National Socialism and religion cannot exist together" (1941)

"The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity." (1941)

"Let it NOT be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things." (1941)

"Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless." (1941)

"We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State." (1941)

Also, Hitler told Hermann Rauschnig that he inten"to stamp out Christianity root and branch." (1933)

He also said: "One is either a Christian or a German -you cannot be both"

So why do people still say he was an atheist?

While talking to a friend not long ago, he brought up the subject of his father. My friend is straight, however, because of his attitude and manner of dress, most people presume he is gay.

As we were discussing his father, he brought up something...he said that his father once told him that if he "decides" to be gay, [[decides? wtf...]], he will be disowned.

While we were talking, he laughed about it. We both support gay marriage, and it was angering to hear about this, but I managed to laugh, instead, at his father's idiocy.

But lately, it's really been bothering me. I've never met his father, but it's hard to leave it alone. I just want to scream at him!

Yes, I know that I can't go to a stranger's house, and yell at him. But, do you have any suggestions, for how to cope with my anger at him??

Of course I'm speaking of YA. People make comments that others probably never see. So I just wondered if anyone "checked back" to see what the late comers said.

Ideally what would you like it to be?

I realize business and retirement are at opposite ends of the spectrum, but many find total retirement dissatisfying and others are finding pensions and social security to be...tight.

This is a 'what if' question. It can be either fanciful or practical.

if you only had one wish to make the world a better place what would it be? Mine would be for the world to better tolerate and accept homosexuality. I feel it is so amazingly wrong that people can discriminate against people that can't help who they love. This is just my opinion, but whats yours?
