Yeah. What do you guys think? My brother said that as the generations go by, the people get a little smarter, but a little shorter at the same time. I looked into this by looking at the people around my school.

The current people in my grade are just a little shorter than that of the people that were in my grade last year in my school. And I believe that one time before I've heard the principal say that my grade had the highest average GPA than last year's.

It's not much evidence since it's only a small portion of people I mention. What do you guys think?

Could it be true that as the generations go by, people become shorter and smarter?

False...people may know more today than a few decades ago but it's acumulated knowledge not inherent. People in colonial days went to Harvard, Yale and many other colleges at the age of 11,12 and 13 and had to read and write 3 languages--English, Latin and Greek to gain entrance which is unheard of today for the general population.
Height is a matter of genetics and general health and nutrition...genetically, we may be losing some genes or they are being dissipated in the population. I have 4 brothers and we are all 2-4 inches taller than my dad was but he was smarter I think.

no, people are actually getting taller, unless you look at mexicans, then yes, they are small, and to us they are getting smaller.
