The wonderful thing about having a general anesthetic is the perception that the surgery is over in the blink of an eye. The hard part is the waiting until tomorrow but she should be settling down for the night soon. We will have to be patient until she gets back home.

GOOD LUCK !! Hope you don't walk like a "penguin" afterwards..like mary s says she does. lol (see "What was your last compliment?" I'm sure you won't and I 'm sure she doesn't. When my knee hurts...I walk like a friend who was in an almost fatal accident. All I did was fall over the stoop. Enjoy the sleepy time feel good needle. Don't make promises you can't keep while you're "drunk" on medication. See you when you return. Just say,"I'll Be Back !" (Don't you have a laptop you can use in the hosp.???) If they keep you awake...you could give us a blow by blow description of your operation. Oops....that was cruel Sorry..only trying to make you laugh.

I don't know, but I'm sure she'll have lots of Jell-O to snack on! Happy replacement! Are you gonna ask to have the old one sealed in a jar & keep it on your mantel? What a great conversation piece that will be! Enjoy your new knee!
