I have decided I am no longer going to be posting to the Seniors Answer site. I have no interest in being involved in the kind of childish games most people leave behind them in elementary school.

Well I just got up and I don't like the sound of this! I think we Canadians have to stick together . You are the one that has overcome the biggest obstacle life has thrown at you and you have survived. Anything that happens in this forum is so minor and unimportant in the scheme of things. I do understand that sometimes one has to step back to see the bigger picture .I respect your decision but hope you will drop by once in a while for a visit.
I would have cut the rope!

Isotope, that was a beautiful story. As a Christian, I would have cut the rope as this story mirrors walking in faith. Many times, we have to just take a breath and, "cut that rope."
Now, Isotope, I have no idea what has been going on with you on this site or, any area of this site. I do know that if you must leave, you will be sorely missed. I will miss your strength, the most.
You, are an example of someone who overcomes and stands for what is right! I respect you and if you have to leave, I will surely miss you.

I just wish someone would tell me what has happened. Because when you are all awake we are asleep over here in Australia.
Don't let anyone upset you. As I am in Brisbane, and it is now (18.57), or as you say in America almost 7, O'clock in the evening. When it is daytime in America, we are asleep.
So I have missed all the things that have been going on. Stick with us, and whatever is happening, and whoever is dong this will soon get tired of it and just go away.
I got a violation notice for some question I asked. Can''t even remember what it was.
Don't let it worry you 'isatope'. All the seniors on the site, are people who ask great questions, and give good answers. And have a lot of fun, As well as some serious issues.
It's a lovely story, but it should be applied to our faith, and giving God the Glory. And not doing things in our "own strength." Rather :-that, " He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory."
Sorry I am a Christian, and I don't think God is calling "Isatope" away!
That is ridiculous! God is not worried about us having a bit of fun on a chat site!
If God wants us tell people about our beliefs, He prompts you gently by the Holy Spirit, and there is a R&S section on here to do it. He does not send nasty people to upset us.
Anyway, as Christians, we will get persecuted, it comes with the teritory. You just bless people, pray for them.
Also, He will send people TOO you, who will be searching for truth.
We are not on this site to outsmart one another with the 'best' question, and the 'best' answers, and go for the highest points. We are here to interact with people who are our own age, most of them, lovely people.

I really don't know if I could have cut the rope or not, never really know until you are in that situation. I loved that site. I am going to keep it too.
As far as you leaving Senior Answers, please don't. There are folks here that don't know how to act right, they just have not grown up yet. They like being jerks. It is only because they are unhappy with their on lives, don't let them get you down. Please stay here. Just ignore the ones that act ugly, skip over them, I do. Hopefully someone will come in here soon and clean up Seniors Citizens site.
A friend of mine in here got her feelings hurt very badly by some of the answers that were given. I hope she stays here as well. Please don't leave, stay here with us.

Gee Isotope sorry to see you go, I for one will miss you. I don't post much, I just browse but I think we need more people like you here, your answers are always so caring and thoughtful. It's a shame that one person can ruin an entire internet site, but like real life one bad neighbour moves in and an entire community is destroyed. Go with God dear.

Lovely story isotope just shows how much we should trust in God, goodness knows you cant trust SOME people. I for one would have cut the rope. I only get thru each day because God is right there with me. Remember the "footprints" poem!!!

I would like to think I'd cut the rope without hesitation. I know where God is, it's just not always easy to know where I am. I hope you reconsider leaving, you seem very sweet and tender hearted. Best Wishes!

I believe I would. But, why are you cutting yourself off from people who want to have fun? These people are much nicer and more sincere than the ones in the Religion and Spirituality section.

Maybe God is calling you somewhere else. I sure hope I wasn't the reason you're leaving. Can't think of anything I said that would cause anyone to leave, I hope.I haven't been on here long..so I really don't know what's going on.
Loved your "story". I would have had to ask "Why?" I would have discussed it with Him...I've been deceived too many times when I thought it was God. I don't mind making a fool of myself for Him...but really really bad things happened. Guess I'm not a "martyr".
I guess this is kind of like when we tell our kids to do things and say"CAUSE I SAID SO !!!". Maybe we should reason with our kids and tell them WHY...when they ask.
I copied and emailed your story to my 2 sisters and niece in Tn. I'm sure they'll like it.
Maybe you can peek in on us sometimes...and if you see things have changed..you'll come back .????????

I worked with the mentally challenged too...the cerebral palsy ..physically /mentally handicapped. I still wonder if some of them could have profited from school..if there had been one to accommodate them. I (and my 5th grade class) wrote to our congressman about it...but never heard back.
