i read this article here ( http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article2549404.ece?token=null&offset=12) and it says that monks are not allowed to keep or store food. is this due to their religion, or to the government? or something else?

With sincere apologies to everyone who I promised I was having a few days off to - sorry - the anger at the injustice that is being tolerated on here by some is just TOO much for me.

I wish that I could be a passive 'let it go -he/she will soon move on' but what is happening here re the thumbs down/pulling of innocent questions IS WRONG.

IT TAKES ONE GOOD MAN TO DO NOTHING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH ..................

There is somebody on this site that is picking off those that they disagree with by the only means available to them - for they obviously do not have the wit or the intelligence to use the mighty weapon that is words - that my friends - is terrorism!

The Senate passed the Matthew Shepard Act. Now it must pass a House and Senate conference comittee, and then be signed into law by the President. Three fourths of the population is in favor of this law, but few of them will contact their representatives to communicate their support. Mostly, the representatives will hear a message of hate, fear, and predjudice from the religous right wing.
If you care about justice and the right of all people to live free from the fear of hate and violence, you can write to your representatives in the House and Senate and to the President to communicate your support for the Matthew Shepard bill and to demand that it become law.

It's a free for all regarding our personal, political, social and religious beliefs. Do other countries such as Iran have something comparable? I surely would like to ask some of the questions and supply answers to questions asked in this forum to the Ayatolahs and president of Iran, and other suppressive countries such as Cuba, burma, China and such. Looking for others who are polygamist or are interested to discuss pros and cons about this lifestyle.

I have been married to my husband for two years now, been together four. Never did either of us think he would ever fall inlove with another woman. Yet three months ago, it happend. I was at first very upset and hurt, and I guess I still am. The fact he didnt tell me before he had decided to do something was the worst part of it all. I have since accepted what has been happening. and cant really bring myself to leave him. I see he does love this woman, but also loves me at the same time.
We have been discussing the possibility of the three of us moving in together, and bringing our families under one roof, alot because we see no point in having to spend the money to go the 60 miles back and forth to see eachother.
I would like to find others who are also interested or in this type of relationship to give me some feedback on how life is, and if its worth it. Thank you.

Jena 6 I just don't understand why this is racist on the white people's side, when a six black wanna be thugs gang up on 1 white dude and leave him bloody and unconcious. All six should face the maximum time in jail. I get tired of blacks these days because all they do is complain about racism and all that bull . If stuff doesnt go their way they need to find a way to get attention toward themselves and claim racism. Seriously how are you going to call this racist on white people? Who cares if someone put a noose on a tree. Did this noose hurt anybody as bad as the gang beating the kid took. Think about it don't be stupid everyone knows these six people should be in jail for the maximum. Give it a couple of years and you will see these six wanna be thuggers in the news again for commiting a crime.

The story continue, this is the best part! Now we are in a tiney fishing boat, one engine and on a stormy sea, with huge swells. I looked over to see the swells hitting the rocks at an alarming rate ,thrushing out foam, and we were a little nervous. As we sailed on we noticed a beach, with an hotel, and people sitting on the hotel patio. We are both English speaking SA's but we also speak Afrikaans. So, I said to ?Denise, in Afrikaans,"we have to get out of this boat, tell them to pull into this beach". But they did not want to. Eventually we decided to bail out and make a swim for it. We were about 300meters away. We jumped overboard and swam!

There were a bunch of Italian business men having lunch on the patio, and the look on their faces, when they noticed two bilini clad girls emerge from the sea wasCLASSIC! Imagine, two girls just appearing out of the sea! They thought two maddonnas had arrived! All rushed down,throwing their jackets over us, all jabbering away in Italian.
