I didn't have a class ring. I had a class pin. And I didn't wear
it after graduation. The last time I saw it, it was in a jewelry box with other possessions in a storage facility. And I lost
everything in that storage room, due to an unscrupulous
storage manager, who played games and we never got our
things back after moving out of state (planning to come back
to get them). Long story here, but he was a corrupt individual.
I lost so many historical collectibles, and other valuables. No
doubt he'd peeked inside and saw the money he could make.
Knowing we couldn't do anything about it, fast enough. Or get
an attorney either. I don't even have family pictures. It's as if
a fire destroyed everything. All I have is memories now.

Mine is in the box with my wedding rings. I wore my class ring from the time I got it until I had to take it off for the job that I have now. I graduated in 1975, so I wore that ring for 32 years straight. I now work in the kitchen at the school that I graduated from and I can't even wear the school ring there. I cried when they told me I couldn't wear it while I was working. Strange thing is you are allowed to wear a wedding ring.

I didn't get one because it just seemed so "normal", and I hated to seem normal. However, I have my mother-in-law's class ring from 1939, and I wear it often. It's a beautiful ring and has special memories for my husband. My mother-in-law was expecting my husband when she graduated, so she always told him that he graduated high school twice.

Unlike the Americans, we did not have rings. My late husband, from UK always work a little ring on the little finger of his right hand, and his wedding ring. But that is a British custom.
