My son & his family took me out to eat tonight (and asked that I not drool on the menu) LoL (I'M KIDDING !!!) ...and the waitress told me I was funny. (hopefully , she didn't mean weird) I couldn't make any jokes after that..because she had brought attention to my "funniness" and I didn't want to overdo it. But...it made me feel good that she said that. I told my family, " I TOLD YOU I WAS FUNNY !!!" lol Anyway, it made me feel good that I had "achieved my goal". (esp. after that bummer joke I told last night!) I'M .BAAAAAK !!! I STILL GOT IT !!!

I recently reconnected with a dear friend from the early 90's and when we met and had dinner she said to me "Jan, you are still the analytical, smart, intelligent and caring woman I always admired".
I was SO taken aback! I had no idea she felt that way and though a bit embarassed, [don't always deal well with that kind of compliment] it made me feel really good that after years she still felt so positive about my friendship with her :-)
But my simply BESTEST compliment came from my grandsons who said "Grandma, you are so cool!" My babes, my joy!

Just yesterday, in fact. I was waiting in the entrance to the
medical clinic and a man came up and asked if I knew I was
a pretty lady. I was so shocked with two older men sitting
nearby. Then he clasped my hubby on the shoulder, and
asked him if he knew I was a pretty lady. Or something close
to that. My husband was a shocked as I was. Naturally I got
embarrassed and smiled alot. I don't know if he knew we were together or not, since my husband was on the other
side of a table. He said something to my husband about
being an old man paying a compliment to me, and my
husband found out the man was younger and older looking.
And he told the man, he was the older of the two. So the
man looked sheepish and smiled and then walked away.

Well after living in my travel trailer for almost 3 years, I finally got my water line in to it tonight. I hooked it into mom and dads water system. After I finished hooking it up and turning the water on to see if I had water in the trailer and no leaks, I called mom and told her that is was done. She said, "That is really good, I am very happy and proud of you. You did great." That was really something coming from mom as nothing hardly ever comes out of her mouth that is that nice. So it made me feel really good.

Someone told me I was beautiful and I wondered if they needed glasses. I've never been comfortable getting that kind of a compliment. Funny I can handle.

A couple of my new friends were looking at a picture of my boyfriend and I and asked who that 'hottie' is and that we'd look good together if we were together. lol.
I felt happy cause I know we are perfect together. Also, since my bf is labeled a 'hottie' that indirectly means that I'm hot too. lol! ehhh I'll just take it even though the compliment was for my hottie and I :P

i'm not a person who thinks greatly of my looks. However today someone told me i was beautiful (although my boyfriend tells me all the time) i find it so hard to believe but on the other hand it makes me feel quite good inside, its nice to be complimented on now and again

A couple days ago, on this same senior's site, a dear new friend posted something about me & then other seniors followed her lead & did the same. It brought tears to the old dragon's eyes.
I will always remember it & those that took part.

Like some other people said, I have naturally WAVY hair. All I do is wash it and fluff it upand it comes out nice, if I do say so myself. Well, I just got it cut and got alot of compliments on it at work.

Today. I work with several people and we all joke with each other. I was joking around with a co- worker, who is my sons age and a customer asked me how long we had been dating. I said " he is my sons age and I am way to old to date him. She told me I looked like I was in my late 30s... woooo hoooo I am 61... Loved it..

I have naturally very curly hair. The other day it was raining here and my hair was just a mass of tight curls. I was not thrilled but then a friend saw me and told me she loved it. I felt much better after that.
