Since the Nevada molestation tape and crime is fresh in our memories, would you vote for stiffer punishments of molesters, rapists and domestic abusers in your own State???

I would vote for life imprisonment or death to convicted child molesters..they have no ability to recover, will live to commit the crime again and again. Rape is a relative term...I am very careful abot judging rape, for I have seen far tooo many instances of women getting even for imagined insults or being jiled...dangerous ground there. Abusers need to be sent to be abused...eye for an eye type of thing . I do not subscribe to the notion that we are what we are brougth up to be...we all have free will and can live within the law...like it or not. Let the punishment fit the crime. And, I am not in the mood to support total social loosers that can never be released upon the public again. Peace and love, goldwing

I think what they should do to all the people out there that wants to molest kids is get them into a treatment plan to get them help. It is like a prison in every way, but it is to treat them for the disease that they have. It is a disease that they have and they do need help in the worst way. If they are ever allowed back on the streets again, they would have to wear a monitor so the police would know where they were at all times. They would also have to let their case worker know where they were going at all times. If they were to mess up, right back they would go.
Yes I already know that a lot of folks are not going to agree with me on this, but any way you want to look at it, it is a disease that they have.

In my county there are many
child molesters/pedophiles and
child porno makers. some have served their time, some
have not. By law, they are
all supposed to register within
1 week of moving into any
neighborhood, but most of them do not.
Any parent can go to the
Police Dept. and look online
at the list they have but I
don't know how hard that is
to do, seeing I have no small
children.
A next door neighbor was
hauled out of his apt. by the
Feds on a 1 year 1M warrant
out of Tenn. on Child Porno.
He seemed like a gentle old
man. He gave the police no
trouble, but here he was
a disgusting pedophile and
noone knew it.

Yes, I believe that they should all be locked up and throw away the key. I have to disagree with Lady G, castration will not help the problem, there are other things to do with a child that is still sexual abuse, that does not involve the male sexual organ,

I live in Virginia and the state laws here are rather strict.....perhaps, in some venues, too strict.
But it then areas you mention they are very appropriate.
