When Hitler was growing up, he wasn't very wealthy and had a hard childhood (he grew up in a small town in Austria). The Jews in this city, however, were rich and sort of ran the city.

That early prejudice stayed with him his entire life. By the time he was able to gain power, Germany was in an economic and cultural ditch. Post-WWI left the countryside in ash and the government bankrupt.

Hitler managed to connect the richness of the Jews while he was growing up to the poor state of Germany back then. Maybe he thought "Why do the Jews have all the money, when the country of Germany has so little?".

That's how he gained the trust of the German people and Nazi Regime, he simply said "The Depression that Germany is in right now is all the Jews' fault! We need to do something about it!". Then he went a little crazy, believing in the Aryan Race (which the German people have almost no connection to I believe) and whiping out the bad.

It came to the point where he was believing his own lie.

Hitler was a very smart man and new the Germans needed a new direction and a strong leader. He used the Jews as scapegoats claiming they controlled the money and were keeping the people down. The Treaty of Versailles, ( the Germans in effect had to pay for World War One), taxed the German people to death and Hitler blamed that on the Jews and used it to begin total discrimination against them. Hitler and his people were ruthless and killed as many Jews as they could and liked to cremate the bodies to destroy the evidence. If you think the holocaust was bad, think about this, under the right set of circumstances it could happen here as well. People have an obligation to know history or we are destined to repeat it.

There was NO justification for what the Germans did! I would call it just plain old evil that reared it's ugly head! In all fairness, there were a few Germans who opposed what Hitler did! However, anyone who opposed Hitler was thrown into a concentration camp as a political prisoner. The whole world should have come to the aid of these people! The whole world failed them! A crime is committed when all good men do nothing. This is why we must NEVER look away when a group of people are oppressed. It makes us just as guilty.

They gave you the answer to that already but I just want to add that we have a neo-Nazi movement in this world right now those are the ones we have to worry about these days, and they are just as bad as Hitler was, and their hatred is more deep rooted, because it's not only based in jealousy or racial issues, but in the fanaticism of religion.I only hope that the world realizes this and unite before it's too late, but right now the world is too busy blaming the US for everything, they forgot very quick that we saved them from Hitler and now is dejavu all over again.

Germany was devastated from WWI and something was needed to rally the citizenry to support a person who could make germany great again.

Jewish people were hated anyway, so burning rhetoric that germany's collapse was due to jews what a perfect angle for Hitler to take over

it was under hitler's order. hitler believed than anyone different than the aryan race was to be killed (with an exceptian of non-jewish germans christians) but they mainly killed jews because hitler blamed them for losing WWII. Ya know, in the holocaust, they also killed handicapped, mentals, and gays. So one time I asked my teacher wat would happen if there was a gay, handicapped, mental jew in the concentration camp. the teacher replied, well, he would be screwed

Adolph Hitler actually grew up in a jewish neighboorhood but he was born to a jew and a gentile only making him half. The jews shunned him and treated him really bad, so i guess it sparked a deep anger. And plus Adolph Hitler wanted power and the jews have alot of power. You get rid of them and that's one enemy you don't have to deal with to take over the world.

ignorance I think ... or could be jealousy ... I think it has a lot to do with the fact they are Gods chosen people. I really don't know, Im ignorant on the topic as well. I think they had loads of money and businesses and the germans wanted to profit from it

serious answer: hitler despised the jews, gypsies and such because he blamed them for germany's defeat in the first world war.
so before he became leader of nazi germany he made a book called "mein kampf" that listed what he wished could happed to the jews, which eventually did happen
