Years ago, when I was in retail, I worked with a black girl who would only work night shifts. When I asked her why, she said "well thats when my "people" come out". She said this as a joke, but she was right!
I only ask because I had to go to Walmart for laundry detergent at around 10pm last night, and I think I was the only non-black person there!

I know I am gay - I know that and I need to leave my husband - he is a great guy and deserves a woman who can really give him 100%. We have talked - he knows - he hopes that I am bi - so he can play too. But, I still have sex w/him. I married him. I do not get satisfied. But, I try to plez him - I have learned to fake it very well. I dont want to hurt him because he is so good to me. And I know how much he loves me. I cant stand this and feel so trapped! How do I get a clean break w/out completely crushing him. We have talked and talked about this and he knows he didnt make me gay - that it was always there. He just taught me that even tho we live in the bible belt that it is ok to be yourself. Even tho I grew up in a very traditional home - it was ok just to be me. And with his support I have found myself, and I feel like I am missing so much life. We dont have kids... I have kids - he has kids, but we dont have kids together. We have been together 7 yrs, married 2.

I just recently finished my first year of public school after being home schooled for 2 years and I noticed that I don't really have an interest in girls anymore and that I find guys really attractive, even though for 3 years now I thought that I was bi. I'm 16 btw. My school isn't very accepting or open either, so nobody will actually admit if their gay or bi, so I feel really alone in my thoughts. I just don't know what to do. I don't want people at school to know though because if strangers call me names for being emo/goth there, I'd hate to think of what they'd do if they found out that I was gay.

My sister is 16 and makes good grades and is trying to get her first job here in Hampton Roads, VA. She has put in applications at MCDs, HotTopic, Payless, Pier One, Micheals and tons more with NO callbacks. She is an attractive girl with very short black hair and red bangs. She does dress DOWN when applying, wearing jeans and a regular shirt. NO CHAINS AND STRAPS like normal.... Please give us some advice on how to let her still keeps her gothic style but find an employer who isn't so bias!!!

Okay I was watching Margaret Cho last night and saw her do this joke that how we gays can earn the right to marry is that all gay wedding planners quit there jobs till they can marry. That would cripple all the homophobes who don't want to 'live in sin' because they couldn't marry or HAVE sex. Could that accually work because that sounds fun to do.

I ask this question as a simple provocation. I was raised Catholic, even attended seminary (so no misrepresentations of scripture please) Should we, as a people rise up now in our righteous indignation and attack directly, or should we bide our time until Religion (not faith) finally consumes itself in its own self hatred. I personally feel we should bide our time, religions of the world are beginning to show their true colours and many people do not like what they see. Please offer what answers you will but please be honest, as I said no misrepresentations from scripture, I have read both Latin and Hebrew texts so be very careful. P.S. for those who may use the King James, remember that it is not the true Bible merely a version commissioned by a British King to satisfy new laws he wished to justify.
