Young females, some with esteem issues, go for the 'bad boy'. They receive unearned validation and value which is why the 'bad boy' can get away with mistreatment. It's kind of a sad cycle because usually the female can't disengage because then her value disappears. What a wicked trap.
Females who have a better sense of themselves and know their worth look for partners in kind.
FYI - people who are actively learning, growing, travelling, accomplishing anything are more attractive to others and have happier, longer, lasting relationships.
True story: When my husband was a teenager, he had the option of working on a fishing boat or chasing girls all summer. Since husband was hot to get a chick, he opted to stay home and chase girls. Well he did chase girls all summer, and none found him attractive. At the end of the summer, husband watched the other guys that did the fishing boat. They could barely get thru the throng of girls waiting for them. My husband regrets not realizing that the fishing boat experience would have been an experience of a lifetime - plus he would have gotten the girls that he wanted.

I am finally learning how to like good guys. For the longest time, I only dated naughty boys. I mean, bad ones. With criminal records and stuff. I wound up being lied to, stole from, and physically abused. I don't think I will ever be attracted to the nerdy, goody two shoes type or the church-types, but I finally stopped with the full-blown bad boys and I am so glad. The appeal with bad boys wears off because it's not worth it.

OH YES! Bad boys give you a sense of excitement,and thrills.They make you feel like you can do and get away with everything.And the adrenaline that knowing you have a bad boy and you are a bad boys girl is a rush. Unfortunately sometimes the thrill goes away and the adrenaline rush slows then stops and you how there is still something there.If you are one of the lucky there is.

Not that I've done this .... but a bad boy is like a project, they're not finished yet, they're exciting. But you still want them to have good guy qualities: Sensitive, Sweet. Some people want people who are their total opposite. Me .... I like good guys. Who wants a paint by number set when you can have a Van Gogh?

i think its true with some women and actually i used to be one of those women. when i married the "man of my dreams" (who was a bad boy, 8 years later i am saying the GOOD GUY will always win from now on. i realized there is a reason they are considered bad guys...MORE POWER TO THE GOOD GUYS!

Absolutely. Look at history. Women are drawn like flies to unemployed Harley mechanics. They all thought James Dean was the end-all, but have you ever seen women drool over a nice, polite accountant?
They like attittude, leather, tattoos, and long hair. They'll even, at times, stay with guys who slap them around. Nice guys finish last. Most women don't like guys they can walk all over.

that is all of a myth people have put out some women wants a bad boy and some wants a man that has good credit and that can help that women out

its ok to be a good guy but you can't be a wimp. If sh!t goes down while you are with her she needs to know you can protect her and not run off like an 8 year old girl.
The bad boys get the girls not because women like assholes but because they are the most likely to kick a$$.

yes im a good girl who like them thugs with the beats in the back beatin but you know what that was a year ago and now im 22 and grown and fu[k them bad boys who ain't got no job just tryin to freeload off yo a$$. so you answer your question yes but then when the women ain't got nothing left in her life she changes her mind

some women are like that, but some want a good guy but don't want them to let the woman walk right over them (like the woman wearing the "pants" in the relationship.
