I'm sick and tired of people posting questions asking what people think about gays and lesbians, etc. If they wanna know what we think, why don't they read answers from the other million times that question has been asked??

I used to work with a very nice man named Richard. He and his partner Tony are adopting a child. They had a hard time finding an orphanage here in the US that would allow a gay couple to adopt without charging an exorbitant sum of money, so they are working with an agency in China. The agency is working with 10 or so young women who are all due next month, so they will be going to China at the beginning of August to get the final paperwork in order and await the arrival of their son or daughter.

One of their friends is having a surprise baby shower for them before they leave, and I have been invited. At the bottom of the invitation it says "Queer Friendly Gifts Only, Please." What does this mean? I have tried contacting the hostess, but she is out of town on business and won't be back until Friday, and the shower is on Saturday. I certainly don't want to get an offensive gift, but I am unsure what "Queer Friendly" means. Any ideas?

why do people also tell me to go straight? i take that as a huge insult becasue i cant just choose to like girls, just like a straight person wouldnt choose to turn gay.
my other question is why are religous people so quick to judge people? in my opinion they arent in any position to judge the next man except for God (thats even if there is one)
oh yeah but back to my question, is there a reason why you feel so negativly about gay people? it dosent define who we are as people, its only one aspect of our lives.

I'm gay, and one day I hope to have kids with my partner. My parents will just have to get over that lol. Anyways, even though I wouldn't mind adopting, I would love to have a natural kid. How would that work? With a lesbian, or how would that work?

have often been curious to know why people who have white father or mother and a black father or mother usually always consider themselves "black" first? This also applies to hispanic or any other race than caucasian.
Is it not politically incorrect or biased to pick one colour over the other?
This is mainly a curiousity on my part, so please don't answer in anger.

My Yahoo Avatar looks very similar to the way I do in real life -- I have thin lips, a broad nose, and spiked hair and am not obese, anorexic, super-muscular, dwarfed, or a giant. However, because they only have 4 hair colors, I chose black because my hair is so dark brown that it's almost black -- especially with all that gel. The reason for my dark coloration and white-sounding name is because my father is Irish (his mother was Italian) while my mother is mostly Hispanic. However, despite this great mixture, they have always defined me as "white, non-hispanic" on every ID card they've ever written for me -- it's on my birth certificate like that despite my ability to get really dark in the sun. So what race am I really in if I have dark brown hair and eyes with a skin that tans pretty easily? What SHOULD they have put on my registration forms in K-12?

I ain't judgin' no one, but I usually see Germans associated with something that involves sex, or they have something to do with something that is vulgar! The only German i know of who isn't involved with something that is sex is Dirk Nowitzki and I ain't even sure about him, but what is it with Germans and sex?

I started checking out questions in this category because people seemed friendlier and actually ANSWERED questions that were posted because in the other categories people just lecture you or criticizing you for merely asking a question!
Now I find that this one is just like the rest!
What is Yahoo!Answers for, anyway? I thought it was for people to ask questions and get answers or opinions from others who have "been there", I didn't realize it was just a forum for others to chastise you!

I read on a website that blacks have it bad in life because of slavery. The fact that there's so much crime in the black community is because of some sort of generation-to-generation wounds from the slavery days. I would like to ask people what they think. There is a lot of problems in the black community. I'm not trying to stir up racist feelings. I am just thinking intelligently about it all. How come so many blacks still rely on welfare, and public assistance? Why are black kids known as "At-Risk?" What is the reason for gangs, and selling drugs? Shouldn't blacks be trying to help eachother get on the higher rungs of the social ladder? Too many blacks don't drive cars, who walk, ride public transportation, and ride bicycles. Look at hurricane katrina. TOO many black people were victims, because they couldn't get out of new orleans. They didn't have cars. WHY? They don't want cars?

Let's hear some intellingent answers.
