seeking approval and trying to prove something is a total waste of time and energy.... no one is to judge ... why is it that everyone of us is inhibited and caged within a stereotype..... break the mould but you do not need to show it off, it does not matter what ppl think and does not matter to offend , it is your choice and it is your life ... no need

I think I've seen , or read everything on Answers. I think, too, that you are fixated on your own approved type of sexual behavior.
People are curious and , sometimes, knowledge creates understanding, if not acceptance. Ignorance is seldom bliss.
If it were, women would still be putting a knife under their mattress to stop cramps and boys would think they were going to go blind, or grow hair on their palms for masturbating.
Try to lighten up, and feel free to report what is really repugnant to you, and those who interpret Answers Guidelines will decide.

A sexual act is a private thing between two people whether man and woman or of the same sex. Some do it for the shock value and it gets them off to do things in public. But when it comes to being in love with somebody everyone should have the rights of others no matter what people think. But saying that they should also have decency in public.

That is a mere stereotype. Not all people with different preferences flaunt. There are those who DO NOT flaunt, but maybe holding hands to you could be flaunting, which isn't, but if you have low tolerance of others you could perceive it as such.
Everyone is entitled to love, and we cannot judge HOW or WHO they love (Only the man upstairs can do that). There are couples who flaunt it waay too much, who are straight, and why does no one take offense to that??? Such hypocrisy!

Well, the fact that heterosexual relationships are "flaunted" everyday may have something to do with it. My wife and I wear wedding rings, our marriage was announced in the paper, we walk through the mall holding hands, kissing every now and then, playing with our kids outside.
The point is, they just want the same right to do this as we have and not be made to feel that because they were born that way, they have to hide everything.
I can't say the sight of 2 men kissing and holding hands doesn't give me the "willies" but that is their right, just like its my right to do the same with my wife.

Some people like attention. They like it when they're talked about. It's a bad type of popularity, but all the same.. It's a popularity. Most people who are not in high school anymore enjoy this type of thing because it makes them feel like they are back into their little groove. bah.

For that very same reason you ask. When in question about oneself...comparison and knowledge to understand is a guidline in social behavior. The porno industry makes millions on this concept.

if a person is hetero than nobody cares if they show affection in public and nobody calls it flaunting anything they never get the crap beat out of them for caring for eachother and holding hands
and are never called names
untill you fall in love with someone of the same sex you have no right to ask that question
and beleive me it's not that uncommon

Presuming you mean people who are gay, it's because they don't want to have to hide it. You know--the kind of open-ness and freedom to express personality as, oh---*everyone else.*If no-one's trying to convert you--why should you care? It's like getting annoyed people who like piercings, or tattoos. Maybe you wouldn't do it. It may even gross you out. But you'd hardly waste your energy worrying about it, would you?? Surely not?
Erg, lol.Just re-read that. Bad analogy---you get my drift tho'.

we live in a world where people don't know what privacy is and think everyone wants to hear things or see them. i don't know that they like to flaunt them or if they just stand out because they are the minority. if they are flaunting it i really think that there are other issues there like trying to gain acceptance.
