what is the "gay world, & gay life style?"?

I have heard this expression alot, and I used it when talking to someone and they replied what is it? I really couldn't reply with a knowing answer...

So what is it?

It's the idea of a Gay sub-culture. While there are some exclusively gay activities (e.g. cottaging) and, generally, there is less money spent on raising kids - so more available for personal use.

Other than that gays are a part of the same world as straights and they enjoy the same life-style.

technically there is no such thing.

but as we all know the term gay comes from happy and thereofre the gay world and gay life style just means living happily

of course, with this comes modern stereotypes, gay means homosexual, so a gay world and gay life style is a place or area or people that do not persucute homosexuals and allow them to live life happily

and in some societies this would mean allowing them to **** anywhere they want

"gay life style" is a creation of the far Right -- an attempt to dehumanize gays and suggest that all homosexuality is, is a lifestyle.

Usually they include bars, drugs, and random sex when they talk abou the gay lifestyle, and of course they say its chosen.

"Gay world" on the other hand is more inclusive and implies everythign that surrounds gays -- their nature, their creativeness, their homes, their social world, etc.

ok well when stonewall made a fuss about homosexual rights they came up with a slogan G - A - Y
which stands for Good As You so there is no special world or a special lifestyle
