It just seems weird its all the way in the culture section instead of Family & relations.... since most of the time its about relations, or GBLT family/ personal probs...

so whats the reason?

Perhaps they thought they were being politically correct by defining GLBTQ as a sub-culture. Maybe they didn't want to offend the Strictly Het Families by including the GLBTQs as a subset of that.

The other option is that maybe Families & relations can be asked and answered by anyone but there are GLBTQ issues that relate to neither.

I think that the person above me who answered hit the nail on the head. If they had a GLBT section, then they should have a grammas-raising-grandchildren section and a single-aunties-raising-nieces section and a fathers-raising-daughters section.
Besides, a family is a family right?

Express your concerns to Yahoo. It could be that they didn't add it because families are families regardless of whether they have a mom & a dad, 2 moms, 2 dads, or just one parent so they'll have a lot of the same issues.
