Maybe, if the person is a crossdresser that is having relations with their twin sibling.

Probably a pretty individual thing. I don't think you're going to find the trend you're looking for, but then...that is only based on my own experience. ZERO gender confusion. I'm a guy, and I've always been a guy, and I always willl be a guy. Gender, though, operates on at least three levels: There's "sex" (the physical) which isn't always necessarily related to gender. There's gender identity (innate knowledge that "I am male"). ANd there's all this societal baggage that people in our society tend to associate with one gender or another. This stuff varies from culture to culture and actually has very little to do with gender, but it's still very much looked down upon to not conform (as always). So there IS some recognition that simply BEING a gay male is gender-nonconformative, but that's incredibly far from confusion. As for narcissism, probably the furthest thing from it. So...nope.

Isn't there a certain level of dime-store psychology that doesn't do itself any favors?
Narcissim would indicate only self-involvement, and not others. If an other is needed to reflect back on the self then that would be true of any relationship, gay or straight. That being said, a certain level of narcissism is part of every person... it's necessary for self-esteem, regardless of orientation.
Not every person experiences gender confusion, and certainly not every gay person, so ... no.

Gender confusion maybe early on. But remember, gender is the role society believes a sex should play. Sex is the biological classification. Narcissism, I really don't think so. Some people believe that people are only gay because they (this is the truth) masturbate to much and are just used to themselves.

The confusion comes from wanting to deny our true sexuality. I never "chose" to be gay - ultimately, I accepted it as my true self. But it was a long, painful battle. Narcissism? I believe anyone with any unresolved issue has a tendency until the issue is resolved.

I think there is a certain level in certain gay people.
Just as there is a certain level in certain straight people.
General statements about the whole gay community are just as silly as general statements about everyone else.
Sometimes the only thing two gay people have in common is the fact that they are attracted to the same sex.

sure...many have no concept of what being gay is ...since society fixated on male -masculine and female-feminine identity. Many spend a lot of time examining themselves, questioning themselves try to figure out who they are. perhaps that comes across as narcissistic.

Only for those who are narcissistic and are gender confused. You can be crazy and gay and well-adjusted and gay, just as you can be crazy and straight and well-adjusted and straight.

Not for anyone I know. Some bois that are gay are quite gentle and sweet -- but some gays aren't either one -- and besides, what the **** is wrong with being gentle and sweet?

Considering how ugly I am? I don't think so. And I wouldn't be without my d!ck; purely because of all the men and women into whom I have placed it.
