I am keen to understand why some people would donate money and others would not. As an investor and development practitioner, it is important to know the rationale of GIVING globally. I know that $10 a month could make a world of difference in the world we work, but why is it so difficult to convince those who have it, but would rather spend it on something else...??? Any ideas?

If I ask you to donate $10 a month to help an unemployed parent to keep a child at school, WOULD you?? If not, why not.... If yes, lets talk.

I took one of our neighbor to hospital, but their was some confusion and I told him that he will be admitted for test and checkup but latter it was found that after test he can go back but in the mean time every one of his family member was called. Every one is now complaining to me why I created the confusion, but my intension was not to disturb every one. What should I do?

There are alot of people posting genuine questions about the situation in the Middle East, and I applaud you for seeking answers. However, I see so many ignorant postings asking about the middle east and judging the religion and culture. Why doesn't anyone care about our OWN culture?
Why don't you ask about the KKK that still continues to spread hate?
Why don't you ask about the pedophiles that are destroying our children?
Why don't you ask about the polygamy that is going on in our own country?
What about the youths that are getting involved with gangs, drugs and sex?
Why are there so many rapes in this county? (Every 2 minutes, a woman is sexually assaulted in the US)
What about teen age mothers?
How about STDs?
Corruption in the law, government and media?
Racism?

People, I'm just scratching the surface here.
I'm proud to be an American, and don't misunderstand me. I just wish people would stop judging other cultures and start checking out our own back yards.

i have noticed that some people ask you for help. you try your best to help them. they dont listen to a word you tell them then they get ticked and down right hateful with you when it doesn't work. you can take your time walk though things step by step and they still dont get it even after you point it out to them and they think you are stupid, how many of you have had to deal with people like this?

What about poverty RIGHT HERE in the USA? Why does that always seem to get overlooked or not matter? Why can't we first take care of OUR OWN country???? Just really tired of all this help to other countries when so many are living on the streets right here AT HOME!

I go see an elderly lady but it's often awkward because I don't know what to say. Sometimes the dogs are more interested in the smells around them and so I kind of want to fill up the time by talking, but I can never think of anything to say! Is anybody else here in this program? It seems that little things got blown out of proportion over the years. Police was involved several times and a neighbor tried to mediate a truce. But that aggravated the situation more and now they're openly hostile to each other. Are there any government agency or social service type that can intervene or help? Thanks!
