I enjoy volunteering for film festivals. I get to see all the movies I want, I get to help people out, and it's so much fun!

I like building and repair projects. Simple plumbing repairs and electrical repairs like a leaky faucet or a broken switch or outlet can be some of the most agravating things to have to put up with. I really enjoy seeing the happy face on some older person when they realise they can turn the light on in a room again.
PS: Where are all the other guy volunteers???????

I enjoy working the Jerry Lewis Telethon over Labor Day Weekend. I've done everything from work in the mail room to answering the phones. It's alot of fun and I really enjoy it! It's very rewarding.
There are many locations across the country that need volunteers. Anyone interested can contact their local MDA. Just tell them you would like to volunteer!

I have volunteered at a food shelter and volunteer at an elementary school as a math tutor. Since this school's implementation of the volunteer program, the school has passed the state's accreditation program for the number of students who have successfully passed the statewide testing program.
Volunteering is such a great thing! More people should do it.

I enjoyed weeding non-native plants. I think the volunteer climate is best when there isn't much competition between volunteers to gain something cuz then they get catty. I also don't recommend volunteering at expensive functions because people with money often expect a lot of you. But it's cool if you get to feast as well.

I go to an assisted living center every week to give manicures to the ladies. Yes, I do enjoy it.

i like helping with stuff like Habitat for Humanity or serving dinner at a shelter. i also am interested in going to the neonatal unit at the hospital and sitting with premies who dont have mothers or who are colicy.

I have done english tutoring and even though it was hard I met such great people and learned a tremendous amount.

mentoring elementary school children with problems...i did it every wednesday morning for 4 years in high school and its what made me go to school to become a teacher!
