Beautiful island, most beautiful smiles on children, fabulous fruit and traditional foods. The rich need to share more with the poor, especially in giving jobs and opportunity to the village people. The monks do not belong in politics. When you visit places like Patana or anywhere up country and realize that all (Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim) can and do live together nicely there is no reason there shouldn't be peace and brotherhood among all the peoples of Sri Lanka. Every child should learn Sinhala, Tamil and English. I have lived in many countries (was born in the USA) but I want to make Sri Lanka my home.

I never been there ,but i would love to one day.I like this country cos they make a nice tea,my favorite one Ahmad Tea.I have also Sri Lankan friend,he is my best friend,so i like Sri Lanka alot :)

Fantastic place to visit, beautiful with amazingly friendly people but has some extremely poor citizens

I preferred the name Ceylon, sounds a lot more exotic. Other than that its a great place OK tea
