I am writing an article on installing a transit system in Joplin, MO, so any info. on the # of people w/out transportation, population and revenue of businesses generated by tourists would greatly help. So would the estimated # of people shopping in Joplin at any given time. An estimated cost of installing a transit system, and price of bus fare would also help. please give me sources too.

I am interested in helping others and I believe that I would enjoy entering a program on the lines of the Peace Corps. I have a three-year-old daughter that is with me all the time, so it would be imperative that she be able to go with me. I think it would be a wonderful experience for both of us. I would be curious to know if there is program on this order that allows US citizens to help others in our country that are in need.

(twobitchessplayer) - this guy here, can't he be reported and found the way music labels found users to file suits against?

I'm the vice president of my school's Student Council, and i want to do some fun stuff outside of school. The problem is that we do not have much of a budget. So far we've thought of Geocaching (if you dont know, dont ask please), going through a corn maze, doing a photo/video scavenger hunt. So please help me brainstorm ideas. PS this is under community service because our group does community service

I was invited to a Rotary Club meeting, but most of the folks there were a lot more established that I am (ie, they earn more money). I earn a good living, but am still paying my student loans for another 2 1/2 years.

Community service is something I've always done and now I live in a new area, so want to start getting involved here. I have some time and a lot of energy and skill to share but can't really give a whole lot financially right now.

There's a Catholic church across the street from me. I haven't gone there yet--was raised Catholic and have decided to no longer be Catholic, b/c A) I was only going to Mass out of obligation, and B) I don't agree w/ some of the Church's views, and C) I'm not a good Catholic.

If you've read this far, should I start going to Mass in order to get involved w/ their service work?

We moved to a brand new subdivision that does not yet show up on mapquest and so forth. I figured it would take some time but I filled out the forms on 8/28 putting the next day as the start date and it's now 9/8. I had something delived thru UPS and it was not a problem. Just wanted to know how long other people have waited after moving. I'm getting a little nervous that there is nothing in my mailbox! Thanks in advance!

They proved it works, 4 times better than corn ethanol.
It is made with abundant native grasses and the research has been done and it works. The OK gov. Conference on biofuels Oct.3-4, 2006 at the university of OK in Norman. James Woolsey former CIA director will address the relationship between national security and dependence on foreign oil? We have it let's make it known. Don't let the oil companys rule. Make us belief they are God"s we can't live with out.

Mine are -
1. Recycle and re-use - saves trees, energy and is less polluting.
2. Use energy efficient cars or use public transport, carpool or walk where u can.
3. Donot waste food - wastage leads to high costs of food and less food for starving millions.
4. Reduce use of airconditioners/ heaters.
5. And my favourite - teach another person to do the same, preferably your kids.
